Gave the place a try on a Saturday night after a friend kept talking about it, I literally think he goes everyday. I was not disappointed. Walked right in and got a table without any issues for the three of us, I know for some people decor is important but this place isn't trying to impress you with that. Inside its simple cafe/diner feel with limited decorations. You can tell the owners want everyone to feel comfortable and know that their food is all you need to leave happy. The three of us got a Korean crepe to share as an appetizer, honestly one crepe as an appetizer was plenty because the portions here are not small. The mix of flavors from the sweetness of the crepe and the Korean beef worked well. For the entree we all got variations of the noodles, mine was with spicy pork and it was delicious which is saying a lot since i'm not typically a fan of noodles. I just want to again point out that portions are large and you will not leave hungry, and oh yes the prices are low and it's BYOB! Our waitress was the owner and as we were leaving her husband the chef also came out to thank us for trying out their new place. The service was great and they seemed so genuine that i will most definitely be back here to eat again.

Good food at an affordable price. Who wouldn't want that?! This place is kind of hidden (off Grove Street), but come dinner time, you'll notice a line forming outside. The way I see it, follow the crowd and it'll take you to good places; in this case, good food!

Ate: Bibimbap, Smoked ham and turkey crepe Drank: Water, tea Liked: Very good food, awesome prices. Disliked: Nada! Chicken: Is turkey a kind of chicken? Would mom like it?: Good food, decent portions, not too expensive. Mommy would approve :) Wait: None. Would I go back: Yep. Have been back multiple times already. Recommend: The spicy pork is not that spicy but is tasty. You can spice it up with some hot sauce.

I got takeout from here last week before an early show at Radio City. The lady was very nice on the phone, and when I got there everything was packaged nicely, although a bit un-green (lots of styrofoam). We got: Seoul Cheesteak with chicken, Kimchi Quesadilla with bulgogi, small order of wings (not spicy), and japchae noodles with galbi. Everything tasted good, the galbi and bulgogi were excellent meats. I really liked the japchae noodles. But the cheesesteak left alot to be desire in terms of any comparison to any other cheesesteak. It was mostly bland boring bread, not much inside, not really anything memorable or special. The quesadilla was a cool concept too, but not enough filling, mostly crepe-type dough that left me feeling tired of the doughiness of it. The wings were awesome, sweet, hot and juicy. Cost 32.00 for 4 items, which is fine, but no sides to anything so we needed to order as much as we did (since I just eat the fillings out of the sandwiches ;) Not sure I'd be back, but it's worth a try if in the Grove St area. It is tiny inside, so take out is prob better.

My favorite downtown restaurant! Great food, byob, and friendly service! You can't go wrong everything is great!

We've been getting deliveries from them. I now can't live without a regular application of bulgogi cheesesteak :)

I had high hopes for this place, but came out somewhat disappointed. The restaurant space itself is cozy with a good downtown neighborhood vibe. It's another BYO in the area, which is always a plus in my view. We came on a Friday night where the only seats left were up at the "bar" overlooking nothing but a disgruntled woman taking "take out" orders. Our server provided good service considering that it was a busy night. We ordered chicken wings, fish tacos, and kimchi bacon fried rice. I felt that all could have been done better in terms of flavor and execution. If you're looking for dessert, however, I'd recommend the cheesecake crepe. The crepe batter was perfect. Btw, most of the desserts contained Nutella. How can you go wrong with that? I would go back and try other dishes on their menu, and hope they can earn another star.

YES! I love this place! You can never go wrong with crepes, especially when they're this good. The dessert menu at Kraverie is out of control--a piece of tiramisu wrapped inside of a crepe with strawberries? Amazing. I was initially unsure of how much I would like them because I'm not big on Korean food, but they do it right. I like that they keep the dishes simple while still infusing multicultural ingredients. It doesn't go overboard and the flavors are never offensive. Since I'm not a big fan of Korean food, I've pretty much just stuck with their crepes and I'm happy keeping it that way. I might broaden my horizons and try some of the other Tex-Mex/Korean items but I worry I'll regret ordering the crepes--they're just too good! Also, an extra star goes to the staff because they are incredible. The owner is extremely kind and attentive, and all of the servers have a great attitude and make you feel right at home.

People come for miles for the great korean cheesesteak! You wouldn't be disappointed. Great for lunch, mostly, because of the type of food. Prices are great too.

Had the bbq pork crepe, wings, kimchi fries, and chesesteak. The food was good, though the kimchi fries appear to be a store bought cajun style fry covered with kimchi and cheese. The flavors blended well but the fries could be better. The chicken wings have a good spicy seasoning that is sweet and sticky, but the fry on the chicken is not the best korean wing I have had, I like it to shatter on the outside and be juicy inside. Overall the mix has good flavors and I would reccomend it for the flavor profiles alone, if some of the food issues above were fixed I might give it 5 stars.

No other place like it in town. I usually stick to the Korean styled food, which is really delicious. Kimchi cheese fries, Seoul Cheesesteak and the Burrito are all really good. Nothing really to complain about. Only have ordered pickup though. The dining area is very small.

  • Will C.

I was really crabby at the time. I'll come back since so many others seem to really love the place. I got a burrito that was a good but not quite great (I do have very high standards given my experience with Southwestern cuisine). Still, I have a feeling the brunch could kill it. Crepes are, you know, the best. So, until next time Kraverie, when I'm in a better mood and more prepared to enjoy my food and not just eat it out of grumbly necessity.

This has become my new go-to spot for dinner. The food is absolutely delicious and service is great. I can't rant and rave enough as the food is amazing. My friends who I've brought there for the first time, cant wait to go back. The only downfall is trying to find parking in the area (it isn't that bad, but it is a pain), and that it's a very small place so you may end up waiting awhile on a busy night. I recommend the Kimchi Cheese Fries, Seoul Cheesesteak with bulgogi and either the Nutella Madness or Cheesecake Dessert Crepes.

I've only been here once, but rarely do I go somewhere where I want to eat everything off the menu. Since we couldn't possibly eat everything off the menu in one sitting, we started off sharing an order of the kimchi cheese fries -- absolutely amazing, especially doused with some rooster sauce, which they offer on every table. We all then moved on to a few orders of the Korean Crepes with spicy pork. This is almost as good as any food gets. It was amazing and I highly recommend. We didn't try it, but the table next to us ordered the Seoul Cheesesteak, which is absolutely on my list of things to try when I come back next week. It looked so good. We ended lunch with two sweet crepes -- the Cheesecake crepe and the dulce de leche crepe with bananas and walnuts. It was like one food orgasm after another. This place is unique and totally legit. Some may be put off by some of the odd combinations here, but trust me, it's really worth trying. I can't wait to come back. I rarely stumble across food as unique and delicious as this.

I really wanted to love this place as I love Korean food and crepes, but can only give it a 3 stars. I would probably have given it a 4 stars if the service had been better. It's not to say that the service was horrible or that the servers were rude, but I just didn't feel really welcomed the whole time I was there. There were no smiles and all the servers seemed like they were bored or tired even though it was only 11:30am. Maybe if the place plays a bit of background music then that can liven up the atmosphere a bit, cause it just seemed dead to me and that really affected my experience there. The kimchi cheese fries were great. When I first saw that on the menu, I was wondering how the 2 can go together, but they really do go well together! The kimchi was just spicy enough and not too much to overpower the cheese and fries. Great dish. The portion was also big enough that 2 people can share it. The cheesecake crepe was decent. The portion is about that of a slice of pizza. My only major complaint is that it didn't really have much of a cheesecake flavor to it. It was more of a nutella crepe than a cheesecake crepe. I will probably come back again to give this place another try and hopefully the 2nd time around will be better. **Update** Just came back with my sister. This time we tried the Kimchi Cheese Fries, Seoul Cheesesteak and the Chicken Wings. The fries were as good as last time and my sister totally loved it! The cheesesteak though is probably my favorite. It had a bit of a sweet taste to it that I really like and the toasted and crunchy bread topped everything off. I would go back just for the cheesesteak. The wings were just average. It's like any other buffalo wings but just with Korean BBQ sauce on it. Bonbon Chicken wings are much better if you are looking for Korean wings. Service this time around was better and the servers were more attentive and friendly. I've upped my rating by 1 star because of the better service and mostly because of the cheesesteak.

ordered a veggie crepe and a 'korean' crepe through the online system, one with a salad and one with fries. to be delivered. the online system is busted. there is no option of choosing meats with the food, plus we never got the fries! wtf no fries! what we got was chicken 'korean' crepe with a salad. apparently online orders default to chicken. called to point out the discrepancy, but the manager insists the computer is correct. he calls me back to point this out and insists we are only owed a side of fries. sorry you can keep your fries. we won't order faux korean creep food from your establishment again. please check with your web master. welcome to New Jersey. crepe was pretty tasty though. not enough to justify the shit attitude,

A couple of us (party 0f 8) went there last night and absolutely loved the food. The place closes at 10:00 but the folks there let us be there till 10:45 and even took our dessert order at 10:15.. great service, great food.. really good prices and BYOB was a bonanza

Kraverie is great. No denying it. Everyone has basically hit the main points about their food. But order everything. Seriously. Their food is THAT good. It's amazing how their meat is always cooked really well - nice and tender, well seasoned. I just wanted to add some things about the place in general outside of the food. First off, staff are awesome. Seriously. Super nice people, really friendly. The place can get crowded at times, but they never show any signs of distress worry. One little quip I have about the place is that it seems to get really hot in there. Not exactly the feeling I want after being stuffed by wonderful food. Especially in the Summer, it gets real real hot. It's a small place, and really packed. There's not much they could do to fight this, but I just wanted to throw it out there. All in all, go to Kraverie, I promise it's real good food. If you want to deal with less crowds, weekday lunch is probably best. Don't forget to get a crepe your meal! (if you still have room if your tummy)

The place is hidden, if you don't pay attention you would missed it . However the place was really nice even though it's a bit tight ! The service was okay, I feel like they were rushing so other guests could come in ! I mean I don't mind but the food was DELICIOUS ! Kimchi fries especially !! Love love this place !

I stopped in for brunch, undecided on what I wanted to bless my stomach with. And the wonderful host Natalia suggest a Chovito. To my surprise it was delicious. Wow. My taste buds were having a party with this sandwich. My new Top 3 brunch sandwich now in JC

The place is small and cozy but my sister and I happened to get there right before the lunch rush. I ordered the Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice which was real spicy but very delicious. I'm ok with spicy food however, it was too spicy for my sister so she wasn't able to finish her meal. The portions are really hefty, so much so I left half so I could try their sweet crêpes. I ordered the Tiramisu crêpe and my sister ordered the Dulce de Leche crêpe. Both were delicious and I highly recommend them. The service was on point even after the lunch rush began rolling in. I would definitely recommend just get there before the usual rush since it is a small place.

On my to do list: Explore more of Downtown JC and this place was on that list. When I got there, I noticed how hot it was inside so I was thankful for the nice weather. It wasn't too packed so it was easy to grab a seat and be helped. Right to the food: I had the BBQ Rice Platter ($11) with 2 meats of your choice- I had Sesame and Ribeye. I was beyond pleased with the portion size of this plate. It also comes with a house salad. My friend had the Korean Crepe ($9) with Sesame chicken as well plus fries. We loved the food, it was flavorful and cheap! The only issue? Our food was cold. I noticed immediately after grabbing a spoonful of rice and then also with the sesame chicken. I couldn't even tell the waiter(s) because they disappeared for a while after delivering our food. After a while, I didn't even bother- I guess I like cold food. I definitely plan on coming back-maybe for lunch. I have yet to try the famous Kimchi fries!

I went here for lunch today for the first time with my boyfriend after reading so many great reviews on here and after so many of my friends raved about it. WELL, maybe my expectations were just too high, but I honestly wasn't that impressed. Everything was OK. To be general... The service was OK. The food was OK. The atmosphere was OK. In more detail... For entrees, my boyfriend got the "Kimchidilla" and I ordered the Korean wings. I had a bite of the kimchidilla -- I wasn't in love with it. The Korean wings were OK, too. I'm a bigger fan of Mad for Chicken wings, BonChon wings or Sul wings [lowkey spot in Flushing]. For sides, we ordered the pork and leak dumplings and the kimchi french fries. The dumplings were no stand out. I don't even remember what they taste like. The kimchi fries came pretty cold/soggy and it looked as if the kimchi were just thrown on top as an afterthought. I didn't feel like they were really incorporated into the french fries. Now, stepping away from food... The cushions of the banquette were dirty and stained. I didn't know we invited fruit flies out to lunch with us. I was swatting away a fruit fly for half of the meal. They ran out of straws: HOW?! All in all, I was pretty disappointed [if you can't tell]. The meal was OK. Maybe IF we come back here, I'll give the crepes a shot..

This review is only for the crepes. I'll update when I've had some savory items. My hsuan me and I got the cheesecake crepe to go and it was perfection. Neatly packed and was easily split for us to share. The cheesecake was the right amount of tart to go with the sweet Nutella flavor and crispy graham crackers. Perfect snack for two or meal for one!

From welcome to dessert, such a delight. Greeted at the door by welcoming Alex who was so effusive and super friendly. Meal was excellent. Started with the kimchi fries - French fries smothers with kimchi blended with caramelized onion, cheeses and mayo - so rich and decadent. Followed with chicken wings - so super flavorful, moist and crunchy. Kimchi crepe with mushroom, onion and ribeye vs. kimchi cheese steak? Get them both! So good. The sweetness of the marinated meat with the spiciness of the kimchi and the sharpness of the cheese - such an explosion of great flavored and textures. We wrapped it up with a dulce de leche crepe with ice cream. Perfect crepe enrobing slices of banana and walnut slathers in caramel. Decadent!

I dined here for the first time last summer and it was delish. I decided to order delivery from them tonight. It came fast - 25 minutes. I had the Bibimbap with short rib. It was pretty good, but the meat was tough...not as good as memory serves.... Not a fan of the delivery charge and 17.50 minimum...which forced me to give the delivery guy a bigger tip. And he was super awkward. Didn't even say a word to me.

The yelp reviews led my boyfriend and I to try this place. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. There were definitely some highlights to the meal that gives me reason to give Kraverie two stars: the kimchi cheese fries and the wings. Had we ended our meal with those appetizers, this would be a five star review. I ordered the bibimbap with chicken and I after a few bites, I felt utterly nauseated. The flavors were so outrageously bland that I just couldn't muster the will to eat any more of it. Extremely disappointed with this bibimbap and I typically LOVE bibimbap. My boyfriend ordered the savory crepe and he was incredibly disappointed with his meal too! We left half eaten entrees and were sad that we had wasted $50. Also, the tables were so crazy small! I hate complaining about restaurants, but I wanted to be totally real about my experience at this place. Maybe we caught it on an off night? I dunno, but we totally got duped.

So Kraverie is a mixed breed of Korean and Mexican? Great combination! Stopped by for lunch with my coworker. The place was cozy. There were like 8-10 tables in there. We shared Kimchi Cheese Fries for appetizer. It tasted great despite the way it looks. (Let's leave it at that) As for entrées, we ordered Bibimbap with Carne Enchilada and Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice. Bibimbap looked purdy, and Spicy Pork added a nice flavor to the dish. Fried Rice looked plain, but the taste was there. We were happy and stuffed after we devoured the whole bowl of rice. Lol Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu.

A must try for everyone... Make the drive as this place is well worth it. Korean wings are crispy, sweet & spicy....yum yum. Kimchi fries are delicious with breading & cheese. Entrees are very good, too. BbQ platter, cheesesteak, & bibimbap are the best.

Finally hit the Kraverie for dinner the other night. The Kraverie is a collaboration effort between two former food trucks, The Krave and Lucinda Creperie. The Krave specialized in Korean BBQ/Mexican Fusion, while Lucinda made crepes. I tried the Galbi Burrito and Kimchi Cheese Fries. The Kimchi cheese fries were good. The fries were crispy, the cheese was melted through, and the kimchi puree tasted very much like kimchi. The kimchi was a bit sour, some sweet marinated meat (bulgogi) would've been nice with it. The Galbi Burrito was pretty awesome. The rice was seasoned similarly to bibimbap and the galbi was cooked perfectly. The tortilla may have been a bit too thin to hold everything in though. I had some drippage at the bottom of the wrap. It could benefit from a double wrap. In all, I'm a fan and would gladly return.

Great concept of French/crepes & Korean fusion. The Kimchi fries are ridiculously good as are the wings. You cannot go wrong with any of the crepes. Try for the alfresco seating in the warmer weather.

Seriously best restaurant ever. The prices are great for the quality and portion you get. The place is a bit small, seating is limited so good luck getting seated for a weekend brunch or Friday or Saturday night. I wish their menu was bigger so I could try more. Korean Philly Cheesesteak was an unlikely delicious combination. The kimchi fries are to die for! Again, another combination that you'd think wouldn't go together but do! Every Time I get it, the fries are cooked to the perfect amount of crispness. My boyfriend is a huge fan of their bibimbap with spicy pork, he gets it every time and is never disappointed. Between the both of us, we've probably try everything on the menu, from the wings to the savory crepes to their burritos, and I've enjoyed them all. The only thing that disappointed me was the Japchae, it was a bit bland and not worth a second try. The dessert crepes too, oh my. A sweet French dessert after a filling Korean meal... Is pure genius. Whoever thought of this concept needs to be paid their weight in gold. My favorite is the smores crepe with ice cream..

This place is so excellent. After we left, I thought about the next time we could go back. Would taking the path train from Manhattan be too much for dinner? If the kimchi fries are in the mix, then absolutely. I had the steak sandwich and I tried the Korean crepe. Everything was so good. The place is small, so if it's busy, I imagine you would have to wait. It's BYOB which is the best! There are a bunch of places near by that you can pick up beer or wine.

  • Brian K.

Kraverie is the perfect combination of fresh, flavorful, authentic Korean food (verified by my visiting Korean friend), and friendly service all for a price of $8-12 per person, depending how many apps or drinks you order. All you need to know is the Bibimbap with spicky pork will always leave you smiling. You can tell it hasn't been sitting in a warming vat all day! As for apps, the Korean wings are hot enough to get your attention, but not ruin your tastebuds. I have also heard the kimchi cheese fries are the bomb, but I haven't tried them yet. This is a small restaurant with only about 20 seats, so keep your group to only your most deserving friends.

If you're into kimchi/french combinations, you've never expected. Come on down. To the best of my knowledge, this place started out from Lucinda's Crepe Food Trailer and a Krave Korean BBQ food truck in Jersey City. I'd stopped at both before and were pleased, especially at Lucindas. Bringing these two together takes a generous set of cajones, and these guys pulled it off. When they first opened, the owners were kind and were more than willing to accept compliments and criticisms, and this restaurant has blossomed into one of my favorites. Korean Bibimbap with Dulce De Leche Crepe for dessert? YES Kimchi Quesadilla with Spicy Pork followed by a S'more Crepe? OF COURSE Chicken Florentine Crepe with a side of Kimchi Cheese Fries? SWEET MOMMY, YES The combinations are endless. My highest recommendations include the Kimchi Cheese fries, Korean Wings, Korean Crepe and Chicken Florentine Crepe. All of the dessert crepes are good, but I would always personally eat double dinners than one dinner and one dessert. This place can get packed, especially on weekends when they do brunch, so expect a bit of a wait if it's more than just two people. They can probably seat about 25 people. Sometimes I've just stopped in and placed my order, then will come back in 15 minutes, pick it up and eat in the park across the street. Also, BYOB. So come packing liquid heat. 5 stars for Jersey City's newest fusion paradise.

Snagged the jahpchae noodles for dinner, followed by a Nutella crepe for dessert! And because that wasn't enough (and because I forgot to bring beer to the restaurant), I took home an order of kimchi fries. This place can get busy, and there isn't much room if you want to stand around and wait. Easy to understand why it can get so crowded though. On a sad note, I was planning to drop by yesterday for post-workout dinner (in fact, I psyched myself up during push-ups by thinking of kimchi fries and an IPA), and they were closed for the first week of 2013. Grumble, grumble. I'll be back, though!

Great value, good food and below-average service. So we get here around 9:20pm on a Saturday and immediately we felt very rushed. We ordered the crepes, the tacos, the kimchi cheese fries, the fried rice, the bibbinbap and the noodles. The waitress says to us (in a serious tone) - Um, thats a lot of food. This didn't bother me at all and I just laughed it off but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to say that to a customer. Also, while I was in the middle of eating my fries, she tried to take the plate away which I thought was plain obnoxious. Overall, the food was cheap, great portions and pretty yummy! I wasn't a huge fan of their bibbinbap and I'm sorry but our waitress was really disappointing. I don't think I will return but it was an alright neighborhood joint to check out

This place is off Grove Street, and badly lit from the outside. I think a bit more outdoor lighting would attract the non locals in. This area has many great restaurants that compete with this one indirectly (no one sells crepes but there are at least 4 other restaurants here that I could easily eat at) All their sweet crepes are great in taste and texture and well priced. It's always busy here and thankfully the food comes out fast and hot. Their salty food choices are Korean inspired. Everything from Korean tacos to Jap Chae noodles to Koreanized philly cheese steak (which was surprisingly good) are solid choices. But if you come here, the dessert/sweet crepes are where it's at.

yes indeed. came here last week and tried a few of the savory dishes and they were all good. my fiance and i split the wings, kimchi fries, cheesesteak, and the kimchidilla. we enjoyed all four very much and had to take some of it home cause we were pretty darn full. this is definitely a gem of jersey city and is definitely worth a look. the wings are solid. nothing crazy, but the its everything you'd expect with the spicy korean marinade. definitely worth a look. seoul cheesesteak. melted cheese with sauteed kimchi and bulkogi!? awesome. the bread was nice, hot and crunchy which is always a plus. we enjoyed this very very much. kimchi cheese fries. just get them. dont ask questions. kimchidilla. this was solid. we got pork as our meat and the meat was tasty. the only critique that we had was we wanted more kimchi on it, but other than that..no complaints. overall..we enjoyed this place very much. prices are fair and from the looks of other peoples dishes compared to the price, definitely a good deal. one thing to keep in mind is the place is pretty small. this place is also byob which is nice. definitely come check this place out, wherever you are. do it. you'll thank me later.

Kraverie is amazing. I live right around the corner and pretty much have a hard time resisting Kraverie at least 1-2x per week. Some of my favorites: Kimchidilla, Korean Tacos, Kim-Chi Cheese Fries (sooo good!) Huge fan of this place and the people are super nice. Great for take-out, too.

My uncle took me here and man we had a pretty awesome meal! For starters, the prices are great for the quality of food. Here's what we had: -- Kimchidilla - omg I have to figure out how to make this myself!! So so good! Definitely a step up from your average quesedilla. -- Korean tacos - also incredibly yummy but much better with some sriracha sauce! -- Kimchi bacon fried rice - I love kimchi. I love bacon. I love fried rice. One word comes to mind: winning. This one is a real keeper. -- Bibimbap - solid -- Dulce de leches and banana crepes - yummy! and perfect to share Bottomline: tasty food, solid prices, really nice staff. Definitely returning to this place!

This is not Burger King, you cannot have it your way. Asked for a Korean crepe with kimchi fries instead of regular fries. Was told they couldn't do this. I asked again stating that I would pay extra. I was told they can't do it because it's an inconvenience to the chef. Errr ok. I didn't know I was here to make your chef happy. Korean crepe with bulging was average. The bulgogi tasted pre made and reheated since it was dry and Luke warm. Will not be coming back, don't want to inconvenience your chef

Fantastic food at great great prices. Located on Mercer right by Grove St, about 2-3 blocks from Grove St Path. It's so easy to get to and parking in the area isn't too bad but traffic sometimes can be. Kimchi cheese fries are a must. Soooo good with a little spice. I can't handle spice well unfortunately but this was just the right amount. They have 4-5 choices of meat to choose from, and I had the Kalbi burrito, which is essentially seasoned rice, kimchi, chunks of beef, all sorts of goodness. Let's just say all the plates were cleaned. Service is good, food is fresh. Low key casual easy must do. I would be a regular if I lived closer.

Really fun little place, but you might want to keep your jacket on. The place gets cold when the door is opened. I wasn't sure what to expect - the place features Korean food, with Mexican fusion and French crepes. Wild! We went for an early dinner last night. I have a living social deal for crepes but we went for the whole experience. My husband and I decided to split an appetizer and a meal, since we heard portions were generous. We ordered the pork and leek dumplings, which were great. Perfectly fried, not greasy, really good. We had the barbecue meat platter which included 2 meats (rib eye and spicy pork for us), rice, potato salad and kimchi. It was a really great deal and very filling. I decided we needed tea, so we ordered a pot of the blooming tea, which was great. We had talked about getting the kimchidilla, since that sounded hilarious, but we wanted to save room for the crepes. For dessert my husband ordered the cheesecake crepe, filled with cream cheese cake filling, nutella, and strawberries. I had the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas. Both were delicious! The husband just about finished his but I saved half of mine, and a friend who came to visit later in the evening enjoyed it. The place is small but very nice, service is great and friendly, and I enjoyed myself. It's byob, so next time I'm bringing some good wine to accompany the meal. Try it, you'll like it!

This became our go to restaurant in JC. I was a fan of the Krave truck and of Lucinda's and now I can have both AT THE SAME TIME! My favorite parts are BYOB, except credit cards, and owners are present to ensure your satisfaction. My favorite selections: Bibibap with Bulgogi. If you put an egg on it, I'm sure to love it. Sweet Crepe, Dulce de Leche Favorite drink, Green Tea (Seriously I was skeptical at first that it could really be that good...and it is!)

We stopped in for a weekday dinner. Great service and only a few empty tables. I had a vegetarian crepe and we finished off with a S'mores crepe. Smores crepe was amazing and I will definitely be getting one on my return visit. Meal left me feeling full but not overwhelmingly so. I did not leave feeling hungry either. It was the perfect sized portion.

I've been here a few times for take out. And the staff is pleasant and some of their menu items had good flavor. I usually order the rice platter, the quesadilla and one time I ordered their burrito. Kraverie has fancier names for these menu items but sometimes a girl just wants to tell it like it is :-) Anyways, the burrito was "blah" and doughy. I felt like I was biting into a thick burrito filled with rice. I barely tasted the meat. However, the quesadilla was very good. I usually get it with rib-eye as my choice of meat. The downside is I just wish they gave customers better sauces with the quesadilla. I usually ask and they give me this sauce that just wasn't right. The rice platter is also good but I've noticed that its dry (no sauce/gravy) and the amount of food is becoming less and less. And that small scoop of potato salad they offer (when they have it) is an insult.

Cosy little place with a very warm staff! It's a place for anyone who enjoys fusion food. Cold winter morning? Go for a brunch at Kraverie and come out all warmed up post a delicious experience, savoring the flavors in your mouth for a long time!

The only mistake I made at Kraverie was offering to split my galbi burrito with someone. Take my advice and keep that all to yourself, but do split a side order of kimchi cheese fries.

I started eating Krave when it was a food truck and they've always impressed me. Kraverie is the merging of the Krave food truck and the Lucinda Creperie. I always order down the middle of the menu and order the korean bbq crepes with fries. The fries have some nice spice on them that gives them a great flavor. Kraverie is a favorite lunch spot for my office, and well worth the walk from the harbor.

As someone who enjoys her fair share of Korean-hybrid food (Korilla, Asiadog, etc), I've been meaning to check out Kraverie for awhile. As luck would have it, my equally food-obsessed friend T was in town, so I suggested we go here. Kraverie is a tiny place on the corner of Mercer and Grove. It can probably fit about thirty people comfortably; as a result, I was a little concerned we might have to wait, but we were seated immediately at an empty table near the door and it wasn't terribly busy. We shared the kimchi cheese fries, having heard about them before. T went with the short rib burrito; I couldn't resist the allure of the Korean-style cheesesteak. The fries were awesomely crispy and the kimchi-cheese sauce had us devising a plan to make it for ourselves as a dip. The cheese was the prevalent taste, but the kimchi added a slight twinge of sourness (in a good way). If I didn't know the sauce had kimchi in it, though, I would have never suspected it was there: strange because kimchi generally has such a strong flavor. The cheesesteak meat was sweet, with an oozy layer of provolone and, again, the faint taste of sour from the kimchi. I liked it, but I really thought there could have been way more meat and the filling wasn't proportionate to the bread. Again, the kimchi played a small role in the sandwich and I would have not suspected it was there had I not known. I would have liked to taste more kimchi in both dishes because I thought there could have been more without it being overwhelming. It was most prevalent in the rice in T's burrito, and I liked that a lot. Service was welcoming but a bit slow, which was a little irritating because it wasn't busy and they could easily see when we were done, etc. Fortunately, it didn't distract too much from our overall experience. Parking can be a bitch because it's in such a high-volume area, but we fortunately got a spot almost immediately. However, if you want to take mass trans, it's only a block or two from the Grove St PATH. Three stars because it was, in fact, "a-okay," but not as great as I'd hoped. I do look forward to returning and giving the kimchidilla and Korean crepe a try.

Really enjoy this place. Their crepes and Korean food are great, their fusion dishes are awesome. Korean crepes, tacos and kim chee fries are my favorites. Very reasonably priced and BYOB. Closed on Mondays. I am jealous I don't live in the area or I would take advantage of their delivery service. The crepes are always well prepared and the Korean grilled meats included with the dishes are always seasoned well and cooked to perfection. I have never had anything over/under cooked and the flavor combinations are always exciting. Have been here multiple times and will continue to return. The restaurant itself is very small, which appeals to me. Good, attentive service and it keeps the food honest and the quality high. The only complaint I have is that the AC is an older, small unit and does not keep you cool enough while enjoying your meal on a hot summer day. There are a lot of affordable AC solutions for a place of this size and I would think they would have already upgraded this considering the apparent success they have enjoyed.

Korean Mexican French fusion just sounded so amazing that we had to eat here, even though we were on the way to dinner at a friend's place nearby. We had a WTF moment here because we asked if they had anything with seafood, and the waitress said 'No', to which I responded by saying 'You're out of the fish tacos then, I guess...' to which she said 'Oh we have those... I thought you were asking about seafood...' Confusion ensued. Last I checked, fish was still included in the category of foods called 'seafood'. Someone please correct me if fish now grows on trees, or walks on land. Anyways, the waitress then proceeded to correct us by letting us know that seafood meant scallops, shrimp, crabs, but not fish. WTF? Anyways, the fish tacos were delicious, and the kimchi fries were awesome too. I would have given the place 4 stars, but the seafood debacle means one star off...

Great food, consistently fast delivery. I recommend the kimchi cheese fries, cheesesteak sandwich, tacos and the wings. I think everything would be a bit crisper if you ordered it in the restaurant, but it still takes great. Delivery usually takes about 20~25 minutes from when I place the order.

The menu is small, but the flavors are enormous! This place is fantastic. I can not tell you how wonderful it is to find a place with cheap delicious food. We went on a Friday evening with 7 people and were surprisingly sat with no wait. Our orders were placed and the food arrived quickly after. I would have never thought of enjoying the combination of a crepe and Korean BBQ; but the blend of cultures leads to the most delightful and satisfying meal I have had in a very long time. I am looking forward to going back and enjoying it again!

Five and a half of us had Saturday night dinner here. We sat inside and got a table at 6:30 which surprised me. We had a newborn with us, who gratefully slept during dinner. The blooming tea was less flavorful than I'm accostomed to and the kin here a and chicken barbecue very good. Frankly, it wa very good for a small neighborhood hole in the wall. Service was decent , but the staff gets hung up between themselves on housekeeping nonsense. The card system git screwed up. Hard to imagine, but dinner was good. Worth lunch at least.

Love this place. We frequented their former food truck, and also the crepe stand at the JC Farmers Market. We've eaten there and also delivery. Each time was perfect. Food fresh and hot, and delicious. Definitely try the Korean Crepe, it will change your life. The melding of different flavors and textures is out of this world. The Seoul Cheesesteak was also amazing. Only thing I wasn't entirely crazy about were the Japchae noodles the first time we went there, but that may have been just because my husband got the korean crepe and it was so much more heavenly than the noodles. Still good though. If you haven't gorged yourself on entrees, be sure to save room for one of the desert crepes. Nutella with strawberries and bananas is always my fave. Awesomeness!

One of my new favorite places for take out. Loved the Korean tacos. Not a fan of the kimchi fries, but that might have something to do with the fact we got our food to go. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful find near the Grove Street Path station. Very friendly, caring service, comfortable ambiance with a creative mix of Korean and French, done very well. Special Korean crepe is a wonderful mix, and their Dulche de Leche/Banana/Walnut crepe is perfection: not too sweet, crispy crepe, clear flavors and balance. Don't miss it!

Kraverie wasn't a korean/french fusion restaurant like I'd expected--it was more like a korean chef and a crepe maker set up shop in the same building to share the cost of rent. OK, they had korean crepe on the menu, but one dish does not a fusion restaurant make. I went with a couple friends for lunch and the best part of the meal was the appetizers. We shared the kimchi cheese fries, which were so disgustingly good. Right amount of cheese and a hint of spicy that hit the spot. Also got something similar to cheese blintzes - super cheesey, but i love my dairy products. I also ordered fish tacos, but there were bland and loaded with mayo, so much so that I couldn't even taste my freshly squeezed lime on it. My friend got the japchae, which I tried--nothing to write home about. My other friend got the Seoul cheesesteak, which he said was delish. I'd go back for the kimchi cheese fries (I'm still thinking about them) and maybe to try the crepes. Hopefully, the guy making the french food is different from the one making korean.

It's about time there are some more "Korean" places around JC so of course, I have to support the neighborhood joints. Coming back from the gym, I was starving so I ordered 2 platters to myself. Don't judge me! Working out increases your metabolism and appetite! I opted for a 1) Bibimbap platter with bulgolgi and 2) meat platter with spicy pork and galbi ribs. First thing first, Kraverie, please invest in a ventilator of some sort! I went and and made my order to go but the stench was so strong of oil, bbq, and meats, that I had to step outside in the cold so the smell wouldn't get into my hair, coat, shirt, etc. I don't mind the smell of korean bbq but it should not be the first strong whiff you take before you open the door. The Bibimbap bowl is your typical rice bowl with a fried egg and colorful array of assorted vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, bean sprouts, daikon). Add meat for $2 extra. How is this different from a meat bowl? This one has more vegetables and a fried egg. It comes with a "spicy" sauce and by spicy, I use that word with caution. It's a bit diluted and lacks the spice I crave, especially coming from a Korean restaurant. I had to add my own Sriracha sauce to give it that fiery kick! The runny fried egg was nicely done and the vegetables were fresh. The bulgogi was decent; not as flavored as I imagined. The rice was not as "fluffy" as I wanted them to be. One thing I really "crave" at korean restaurants are their fluffy sticky-style rice- didn't get that experience. But, that's just me being knit picky. The Meat platter comes with 2 meats, which I enjoyed better with spicy pork and galbi ribs. The spicy pork was not really spicy (but then again, I can handle tons of spice), but it still had a good kick to the taste buds. The meats were cooked well but the rice again, could have been better. The food's good but not great. There are definitely room for improvement so I look forward to see it improve. Next time I will try the crepes. But overall, excited that there is a Korean asian fusion place in JC.

Let's talk expectations. If you're looking for a Koreatown cook's hand (and sometimes, some of us just want that authentic feel) you won't find it here. The food at Kraverie will be more delicate and creative made with a few simple ingredients. Next, price. I don't think this place is cheap. Some of the dishes don't come with sides (ie. fries or salad) and the portion sizes are not large enough to satiate most ppl. You'll likely have to order an appetizer or desert. But, the food is well prepared, and I'm excited for this addition to the Grove St. neighborhood! I've been here twice. I've tried: Bibimbap with bulgogi ribeye ($10): The ribeye was tender. The egg was lightly cooked so that the yolk could ooze and coat the rice and veggies. Mmm. The veggies were lettuce, carrots, and some greens. The sweet chilli sauce made the dish! I wished that I had more because I like extra heat! I love that this moderately priced healthy option is available in this neighborhood. Some of the earlier reviews complained about the rice, but I think they've made adjustments. On both occassions, the rice has been fluffy-sticky. For those who are wondering, the bibimbap doesn't come on a stone pot, which is fine with me, because I've never been a fan of the crispy rice piece that some Korean and Persian food fans love. I would have liked other veggies in my bibimbap. The menu says zucchini but I didn't get any. In the city, for about the same portion size served here, bibimbap can run from $12-16 -- which I've never understood because it's a rice-based dish and costs half as much on the west coast -- so, by comparison, this is a great option. But, as some reviewers have said, it's not a portion size that alone will satiate most people. Burrito with short rib ($8): After trying both, I prefer the ribeye, although the short rib was well prepared. Most of the burrito was rice, however, so I'm not sure if this is the best priced option. Although this is comparing apples to oranges, a mostly meat burrito from Taqueria, a few blocks away, is $6.95 and comes with a side of rice and beans. Kimchi cheese fries ($5): This just works. I was skeptical about kimchi and cheese, but the kimchi is good. Worth trying at a place like Kraverie. Cheesecake crepe ($6): OMG -- This was soooo good! The filling of cheesecake and nutella was well balanced. Tiramisu crepe ($6): Not as awesome as the cheesecake, but still pretty good! I think the strawberries threw it off, and I thought the tiramisu's texture got mushed with the cream. Looking forward to trying the meat platter.

The phrase jack of all trades master of none comes to mind. The basic Korean dishes like bi bim bap are flavorless and bland. The rice they use is cooked too wet and I believe a different grain from what is normally used.

Had the chicken florentine and Nutella crepe. The crepes didn't had enough stuffing. The taste was not impressive, have had better crepes with lots of stuffing. The bibimbap was good.

This place is very cute and in a great location right by the grove st path. I was a little afraid when I went in; I'm not very adventurous when it comes to exotic foods and I can't eat anything spicy. Looking at the menu, the price is definitely right, with almost all entrees at $10 or less. I ordered korean noodles with bulgogi beef and the food came fairly quickly. The presentation of the food was nice and and it was just the right amount. It tasted great.... And of course I could not resist ordering dessert. My friend and I shared a s'mores crepe... Oh my goodness it was delicious. Why has no one ever thought of a s'mores crepe before?? I don't know but it was the best crepe I've had in a long time. And it was only $4! This is definitely a place I would come back to just to eat dessert. Yum!

I've loved this place since it was just Lucinda's Creperie truck. They have their own brick and mortar shop now, and I love dropping in. And for the neighborhood, the price can't be beat. Every friend I bring here falls in love with it too. The Korean BBQ is good too. Try the japchae with bulgogi short rib. It's awesome. Don't order the Korean BBQ crepe to go. Order it when you're in the restaurant because it can get soggy because it's VERY juicy. No joke, I like the crepes here better than at Madame Claude's, a very expensive French joint about a 15 minute walk away. Though their rosemary lamb shank and duck are to DIE for.

The marriage of the famous Grove Street Food Trucks: half Korean-Mexican fusion (Krave) and half savory crepes (Lucinda's Creperie) Since I only have had the nutella crepes from Lucinda's, I will comment on the Krave items. The food is good but not great. I have had many, many versions of the Korean-Mexican originals over in Cali and I must say that Krave doesn't add up. But since I can't find it anywhere else in JC, I am fan. The American influenced items like the kimchi fries and seoul cheesesteak are my latest addiction. I still have to try the offspring of the two brands: the Korean Crepe. Bottomline: Tasty food. Hip idea. I recommend if you're looking for a change.

They were very nice to seat us and accommodate our party of 5 in the crowded restaurant. We ordered the wings that tasted great but lacked the crispy I hoped for....my tacos were not anything to write home about but when it was time for dessert. ..I was pleased. ... the s'mores crepe. ..heaven....I would try it again!

We have been here a few times and food never disappoints us. Great savory and sweet Crêpes and amazing Korean dishes. The kimchi cheese fries are to die for and the japchae noodles are also an amazing treat. The place is small so you may have to wait to be seated. Totally worthy!

So, Ive been coming back with friends who wanted to give this a try and found a liking to their other foods. The kimchi burrito with galbi is probably my favorite. Its basically kimchi bokkeumbap (kimchi fried rice) with some cilantro (and sour cream?) wrapped in a burrito. It was pretty darn good and would probably keep coming back just for that. I just wish the portions were a little larger.

Fantastic!! Drove down from upstate to visit family and desperately wanted something good. Their super friendly service and outstanding food guarantees my return and referral. Had kimchi fries which were bomb, super good, also had BBQ rice platter, try it, you won't regret it.

I brought my family here over the weekend in hopes of trying something different and unique. I was not disappointed! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere is quiet and welcoming. I had the BBQ rice platter with ribeye and sesame chicken - it was everything I expected and more! I had never had kimchi before either and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and delicious it was it was the perfect addition to the sweet meats and sticky rice. The rest of my group tried different crepes and they each loved theirs. This is a definite comeback spot! I love how genuine the staff was and also how homey the place felt. Quick tip - ask for Sriracha it takes the sweet dishes to another level!

I love this place! I go here at least twice a month. If you're a fan of Korean-Mexican-French you'll love this place! The meals are primarily Korean/Mexican inspired and the desserts are French. Great place for a first date - chances are if they've never been here before it'll be a new experience for them. WARNING: you will smell like Kraveries afterwards and probably will need gum/mints if you're expecting any type of action. You MUST MUST MUST order the kimchi french fries. I typically order one just for myself, but I'm an exception. It's heavy on the kimchi and onions so you're breath will smell great! I typically get the kimchidilla with bulgogi, seoulsteak (Korean style Philly cheesesteak), tacos or the bbq rice platter. Ugh. Everything is delicious and my mouth is watering thinking about it. As far as dessert goes - I LOVE their tiramisu crepe. FYI - it's BYOB for those of age. The space is pretty small so it can get packed on weekends and peak hours, but they also do takeout and delivery (if you live in downtown JC). The waiters and waitresses have been there for a while and they're always very nice and friendly when I dine in. No complaints whatsoever.

First, I'd like to begin with the fact that there was dirt building a town above our table on the lighting fixtures, as well as in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the service was nothing to applaud either. We immediately noticed the French fries were not fresh but frozen, Ora Ide brand to be exact. I will however say the wings were not so bad, and food did come out rather quickly. Which I don't know if that is a good thing or not.

Ordered a delivery of the kimchi cheese fries and Seoul cheesesteak. I paid online, so the guy came by, dropped the food off and went off without speaking a word - that was somewhat weird, but anyways. Food was delicious! I loved the kimchi on the cheese fries! LOTS of cheese as well, so it makes the dish very heavy. Cheesesteak was spot on as well... size is deceiving; makes you think its small, but once you get into it, it's a lot of tender, juicy, goodness that quickly fills you up. Definitely will order again to try some of the other dishes and see if I can get a word out of the delivery fellow.

Food was just ok to me. I had the korean crepe and the kimchi cheese fries, which is one of the restaurant's most popular dishes. The food was served a bit cold, I felt like it had been prepared a while before it was brought out to me. This place came highly recommended and I went out of my way to try the food here. Interesting flavors but definitely not worth a trip to downtown JC just for that.

I did not have a warm initial reception to Kraverie because the servers there were not as welcoming as I thought servers should be. They weren't mean or rude, but they didn't have the enthusiasm that is required for this field of work. Moving past that though, we were sat down immediately at a table and given menus. The menus weren't extensive, but it gave ample amounts of choices. My friend opted to get a Seoul Cheesesteak, and I chose to get Kimchi Cheese Fries and Korean Tacos. There were four choices of meat for the tacos, and I picked galbi, bulgogi, and chicken. We got our food in a fair amount of time with our appetizer, Kimchi Cheese Fries, arriving first. At first I wasn't sure how to feel about it, but the combination sounded interesting enough for me to try it out. It turns out that these fries ladled with melted cheese and chopped kimchi on top was amazing! The fries could have been made better, but the taste of kimchi and cheese together was shockingly good. I feel that the creator of this dish definitely went through a lot of trials to find the right blend of fries, kimchi, and cheese. My friend seemed pleasantly surprised at how good his Seoul Cheesesteak tasted. I'm going to assume he didn't read the menu because he exclaimed, "This is bulgogi," when the menu clearly stated that it was bulgogi meat. The Seoul cheesesteak was topped with cheese, fried kimchi, and spicy mayo. I can't say much about the taste about his Cheesesteak, but I can attest to the deliciousness of my Korean Tacos. Although the soft shell seemed to be a generic taco shell from any supermarket, the deliciousness was more from the kimchi puree and the meat. All three meats were cooked to a good texture, while leaving the juices still intact. The flavor of the taco wasn't overwhelmed from any sauces or ingredients. The balance from the shell, toppings, and meat all complemented each other for a complete dish. I'd have to say the galbi one was my favorite!

I think the first time I ordered the wrong thing. The Japchae was extremely oily and had very little taste. The portion size was huge though and the prices are moderately cheap. I blame myself for not ordering what was recommended in the other reviews, but I was craving Japchae at the time. Second time around, I learned from my mistake and ordered the Korean Crepe instead. I was also able to try my sister's Kimchi Fried Rice. I quite enjoyed the crepe, although it came out a bit cold and the meat was a bit chewy and hard to cut. Nice flavor from the bulgolgi though. The Kimchi Fried Rice was less successful. Just about as successful as the Japchae from the first time I ordered. The rice was way to wet and soft and in general had little flavor. The redeeming factor was there were large pieces of bacon. I recommend getting the korean crepes, quesadillas, and tacos over the more straight up Korean dishes as they are both more interesting and executed better. The restaurant itself is very small but homey and cute. Had a little trouble getting the attention of the staff, but overall nice atmosphere.

Deep down inside I wish I liked kimchi a little more than I do so I could really get down at Kraverie. My boyfriend and I went to try something new but not wander too far. The menu is small, but hosts a wide range of flavors and cuisines, from the Frenchy crepes, to Korean rice bowls and the American favorites with a twist. The staff was nice, but kind of short, mostly because it seems like the encounter a ton of regulars who do not need much guidance. My boyfriend and I, however, did need guidance. We had no clue. None. We ordered the Kimchidilla, which comes with your choice of meat meat. Oh good. Not a clue. Our server recommended the Bulgogi Ribeye in a tone that implied "Duuhh." It was pretty tasty; the weird clashing of flavors was smoothed by familiar cheese and tortilla. The Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice was ten times larger than I thought it would be, and ended up being super heavy. The mix of the salty bacon and the kimchi filled rice went so well with the rich, creaminess of the runny yolk --best bites! The pork and leek dumplings were pretty good too, crunchy on the outside and soft and meaty on the inside. Even though everything was pretty delicious in the first few bites, the meal felt heavier and greasier the deeper we waded in the pool of kimchi. Maybe it was just too much of the same thing. We ordered the Dulce de Leche crepe, replete with caramel sauce, bananas and hearty walnuts and two scoops of ice cream. This was wildly delicious. The pancake had a flavor of its own, sugary and hypnotizing, while the meaty walnuts made the sweetness more subdued, and the banana and caramel married perfectly. Despite the dessert sounding rich and decadent, it did not leave us feeling over stuffed and unhappy. It was light and almost familiar after the unknown of our meal. Can't wait to go back and try some different things, sweet and savory, and get more acquainted with kimchi.

Korean-style taco/burrito spots are not rare sites on the New York area anymore, but Kraverie, located in Jersey City is in my opinion actually better than the options available across the Hudson. Their tacos have generally been hits more often than misses. I prefer Kraverie's over the Korean taco trucks for one reason mainly...they use good taco wraps. Such a simple thing, and all the other korean taco options get it wrong. Kraverie being a restaurant spot with a full kitchen probably helps a bit too. Most of the times I order here, the meat is good. The only criticism is that their galbi is inconsistent, and sometimes cut into chunks that are too large, and too chewy. Kimchi taco fries is an interesting combination if you like kimchi flavor. Also a big fan of their kimchi bacon fried rice, would be nice if they had a spam option though.

Amazing Korean BBQ! I have been here multiple times and am always satisfied with every meal. The chicken florentine crepe is full of flavor and quite filling for a great value! And well you can't go wrong with any of their sweet crepes! The bibimbap is also a great choice, definitely a go to place for me.

I came here to have a little brunch with my cousin who just moved into Jersey City from San Francisco! This spot is a cute little restaurant that has some Korean/Mexican style foods and crepes which really means it's korean meats in crepes along with normal brunch food. They also have some interesting things like a Korean Philly cheese steak and a korean burrito so it's really an amalgamation of different foods with korean. The food is pretty tasty and i had a great time hanging out here. Definitely the Kim Chi Fries are good - they make the kimchi into almost a paste that is on top of the very crispy french fries that are very tasty. The restaurant itself, is small and has about 5 or 6 tables which is good enough for a small amount of people.

Wow wow wow. I am so surprised by some of these negative reviews.. Ordered the fried chicken wings, bulgogi kimchi cheesesteak, and kimchi cheese fries - my boyfriend and I shared everything and I'm still very full. I'm from Philly originally and this cheesesteak is too good (I do consider myself a pro) - the meat was tender, it was spicy/sweet, the bread was soft and toasted perfectly.. The wings are addicting so taste at your own risk if you live around here ;) The cheese fries seemed unique so we haddd to order them. They were yummy but eat them while they're hot. Last but not least, the staff was wonderful - they were helpful, warm, and observant. Extra napkins without having to ask... Sad to say that type of attentive service is hard to come by in most restaurants. This place is a reason enough to come to Jersey City from Manhattan, and though it was a random stop for us this evening, I'll certainly go out of my way to come back.

I love this place! They have the best foods and prices. I've been here plenty of times and each time I leave in super satisfied. It's a great place to bring your date, friends, and family. I definitely recommend this place thousands of times. They have good customer service and may I say, their interior decorations and table setting is so nice.

Man I love this place, it's amazing. The cool part is I think most people order take out or delivery from here so for the most part there will always be tables available. If writing this review gets the word out and I can't get a seat here I'll have to sabotage the Yelp servers, because it is rather small. I've sampled most of the dishes here and they are pretty much all winners: Korean Chicken wings are by far my favorite dish, followed by the Bibimbap, Korean Tacos, and Kimchi Cheese Fries. So get all these items in one seating and you won't be sorry. However they will have to roll you out as you will not be able to walk. No need to go in depth about the food, you'll be satisfied with whatever you order. They keep it simple and delish. The other thing about this place is they dangle that crepe menu after your meal daring you not to get a crepe and you'll lose every time. I will agree that the servers initial reception is usually lukewarm but once you're seated they are attentive and nice. Highly recommend.

Kraverie is a neighborhood gem and I recommend everyone in Jersey City to try this spot out! You will be pleasantly surprised by the creativity and thought put into making each dish. It is delicious and you won't disappoint! Below are some highlights: - Welcoming ambiance. The place is small, but cozy. About 10 tables total + 3 seats at the bar. The menu is simple and easy to read. They only have a few selections- but ALL OF THE FOOD is delicious! I have no favorites! - Kimchi Cheese Fries! Wow, kudos to the chef who thought about putting kimchi and cheese together. It takes AMAZING! Don't believe me? Get the side yourself and let me know your thoughts. The portion is big, btw, so two people per one side of Kimchi Cheese fries is more than enough! - Bibimbap - so delicious and authentic (even though they don't serve in the clay pots).Again, the portion size is HUGE, so come on an empty stomach. It won't disappoint. - Definitely try the Seoul Cheese Steak - again, combining cheese + beef + kimchi. What an ingenious idea! If you are not in the mood to go to their store, then use Seamless and order delivery! Their service is fast, efficient and they always deliver in the allotted time. They are definitely a reliable restaurant and I highly recommend it!

After hearing good reviews about this place, I finally decided to try it out. The Kimchi cheese fries are SO good and everything on the menu is less than $20. Definitely coming back here soon.

Kimchi fries, seoul cheesesteak, kimchi bacon fried rice and a side of bulgogi :) had a blast eating here! Minutes from biergarten and $$ :)

Everything about this place was just perfect! I'm huge on atmosphere and interior and this place was so cute. From the outside it looked as if it were a little French cafe and inside the settings and chairs gave it a homey cozy atmosphere. I was drawn in by the menu, we focused mainly on the Korean dishes but I loved how each entree clearly had a remix to it. We were most curious about the kimchi cheese fries and had to get that. We also ordered the Bulgogi Cheesesteak and the Galbi Burrito. The staff was attentive and quickly took our order and before we knew it our food had arrived. The fries were delicious, the mixture of the spicy kimchi and the sharpness of the cheese meshed very well. Honestly the kimchi mixture on the fries would have been delicious on anything. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, the bread was toasted to perfection and the meat was flavored beautifully. I was very impressed with the unique mesh of flavors that Kraverie had to offer, I can't wait to taste everything else on their menu!

One of my favorite places in jersey city! Bulgogi and cheese in a burrito? Yes, please! Never disappointed.

  • Frank A.

This place is really good. The Kimchi-Cheese Fries were unique and delicious - I bet they'd be even better after a few drinks. The Bibimbop was definitely really good, but it wasn't as great as in the traditional Korean places you'd find in K-Town (it didn't come in a hot, metal bowl, which means no crispy rice at the bottom -my favorite part). But still, it was really good. Also, the green tea was loose leaf! I'll keep this place in mind for future eats.

I'm a big Korean guy with a big appetite for Tex-mex, so I decided to give place a try. The first thing I had was kimchi cheese fries. It was yummy, but it didn't live up to the hype many Yelpers set. Some people don't like having fixin's on their fries, but I really like using fries as a culinary canvas. Maybe it's my inner Canadian and my love for poutine talking lol. The next thing I tried was the kimchi quesadilla. This was pretty good. It has a bit more cheese than I expected but I love cheese. It was a pleasant surprise for me. I'd definitely get it again. Overall, the food was good but it didn't have the 5-star wow factor. I'm going to try this place again but with my family. They're pretty picky when it comes to Korean flavors, so I want to see what they think. Next time I visit, I'm going to try the burrito and/or the cheesesteak.

After reading some of these reviews, I was skeptical about whether or not this place was as good as most were saying or if it was a hit or miss kind of joint. To my surprise, this was such a treat! The food is packed with flavor and well infused together. Never knew that Korean and French cuisine could taste so good! I had the Korean Crepe with Bulgogi ribeye and a side salad, the pork dumplings and a taste of the cheesecake crepe (I was fortunate to get a taste before my boyfriend proceeded to devour the dessert!). Hours after the meal, I was still thinking about the meal and apparently so was my boyfriend since we're planning to revisit this place when we're back in Jersey City. Though, this place is great for a quick stop even if your solo - fast service and friendly ambiance looking over to the City Hall Plaza.

I've eaten here many times and every time its always good. I've tried of pretty much everything on the menu already and I always gravitate toward the platter. The potato salad though that comes with the platter, I ask for extra as well as extra kimchi. The crepes are delicious and their kimchi fries are so good!

  • Roam J.

Who knew that Kim chi tasted great on cheese fries? Not me, but I do now. Pile that stuff on hot and messy - oh yeah! Also tried the Korean crepe with bulgogi - this one was also pretty good, but not quite as much of a revelation. My wife got the BBQ rice plate - definitely the way to go if you're feeling like the fusion thing has gone a bit too far.

    (4)
  • Cheryl P.

Apparently this place isn't consistent, there's really good reviews and then the bad reviews and unfortunately, I fall into the latter. I LOVE korean food. And korean fusion sounds awesome, but it fell really short here. I brought a Korean here thinking it would be great. Nooo - what a fail. We had the kimchi cheese fries, which were super greasy and limp and not great. I love kimchi, but this was not good at all. My friend had the BBQ platter and said it was not good and was super disappointed. I had the fish tacos, which is something everyone and everything should stay away from. It's like a limp piece of fish on the tortilla with no flavor. Didn't taste fresh. Dull flavors. Everything here was a disappointment.

Only had the Seoul Cheesesteak and it blew me away! Great flavors all in one bite. I am looking forward to trying the other dishes!

It's a small place--I could very clearly hear some of the conversations across the room. This is not a place where you can have a stealthy conversation, but that's ok. Service: Because the place is so small and everyone is compacted together, it seemed easy for the 1 waitress to attend to everyone pretty quickly. A friend and I ordered the kimchi cheese fries, seoul cheesesteak, and the bulgogi burrito. All the food was served very quickly...food truck pace, so there was pretty much no wait between appetizer and entrees. Kimchi cheese fries- I agree with everyone else! You can't come here and not get these. The kimchi wasn't that intense, but I actually prefer it that way. Bulgogi= amazing= every food item with bulgogi The burrito- everything in it was the same size, including the meat, so there wasn't any variation in texture. Thus, while the flavor was amazing, I got tired of eating it pretty quickly. Definitely recommend the seoul cheesesteak! All the ingredients just simply work. It's melt in your mouth good.

  • Katie S.

I can only give this 4 stars because I only have had one item. But I will say the Korean nachos with spicy pork was absolutely amazing. Probably some of the best pork I have ever had. Additionally, everyone who works there was so friendly and nice. My food was takeout and I'm really excited to eat - in and enjoy more delicious food and some BYOB.

    (4)
  • Devin M.

Quick tip: Kim chi fries and anything with the short ribs is a best bet. Simple menu, but very well executed. This place is BYOB, and a cold beer would likely pair well with some short rib tacos. I've been to this place twice with my SO, and we LOVE this place. So much so that we drive up from the Princeton area just to satisfy the craving. It's a small spot, but tables go quick because the food is served quickly, and honestly... You just want to scarf it all down, it so good. My understanding is that they evolved from a food truck. We need places like this in the Princeton area, but luckily they don't, or I'd be about 50 pounds heavier.

This place is oh so amazing!! Beware because once you try it, you will develop a Kraving to come back for more!! Came here for Sunday brunch with a friend, had the Korean crepe with spicy pork, bugolgi cheesesteak, and tiramisu crepe. The only word I have is "superultradelicous"! The serving sizes were generous, we were full after the Korean crepe and cheesesteak but we just couldn't leave without trying a sweet crepe too. My mouth is watering as I write this now, can't wait to come back again!

I've been to this place with friends and family a couple of times and I absolutely love it. The ambience is perfect coupled with the food. I would definitely recommend to other people. I love when you can order the blooming tea and the Korean BBQ crepe is my favorite. My friend and I have tried every dessert crepe they have and they're all so fantastic. But my absolute favorite is the tiramisu one. This place is definitely one of my top places to go and you can count on seeing me often (when I have money).

On my last birthday my friends treated me to dinner from here. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't enough for it to be a forefront recommendation if someone asked me about good spots in Jersey City. I think part of the reason was because it was take out, and this is the type of restaurant where you want to eat everything hot and fresh - unlike lifeless 'delivery time too long' galbi short rib crepes. We also tried the wings and kimchi cheese fries and I just wasn't that impressed at the time for the same reason. Recently, I came here solo for dinner. I decided on fried the pork and leek dumplings as appetizer. They were average - definitely hot and fresh I burned my tongue a little, but the flavors lacked. I recently had some amazing Chinatown dumplings, so this may have biased my opinion a little. I ordered the bibimbap for my main meal and did not regret this decision at all. First of all, for $8 bucks you get a huge bowl filled with rice and all your delicious bibimbap components - shredded carrots, fried egg, some greens, amazing bulgogi ribeye. It was fantastic! With some of their sriracha based hot sauce, lots of flavors at play and totally satisfying. The restaurant has a quiet and classy feel. It's not that big, and I imagine it's packed on Fridays and Saturdays. I went early on a Thursday evening, and had no problem at all. Also, It's BYO. With great food, very reasonable price points and a personal bottle of red, this place definitely stands out among Jersey City eateries. Oh and duh, not to mention the fusion of French and Korean. You don't come across that every day!

A nice and cozy little lunch place. Very settle Korean food. Did not try too many things as we came here after having some food at egomania, but still managed to eat some Korean wings. They were very fresh and flavorful. The cheesecake crepe with Nutella was very good, be sure to get it with ice cream. Place is simple and people serving you are very nice. If you are in the area, it is a nice place to get a bite. As always, you have to try it to believe it. #happyeating

The wings were like what I remember back in Korea. Some of the best wings I've had in America. And the kimchi cheese fries were a pleasant surprise. Genius mix. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu.

Not the most authentic Korean I've had but the food was good. I suggest getting the wings and the cheesesteak sandwich! Didn't try the crepes but would go back and try them.

I know this place has great reviews but I have been to real Korean BBQ places and this location falls very short. The ambience, dirty dingy. They do not appear to have the appropriate tools for cleaning. The lemonade was from concentrate no fresh. Nothing in this place tasted fresh. While the price was reasonable the food was stale old and the aluminum taste in my mouth simply has not gone away. The stomach ache the came later was horrible. Might have been great at one point but my experience just skeeved me out. Yuk

  • Jackie G.

Never been in the store, but ordered delivery and it was so mediocre and super disappointing. The side salad was pathetic- literally 2 pieces of lettuce with olive oil. All the food has the same ingredients and tasted exactly the same. Very greasy also.

    (2)
  • Michelle S.

I had the cheesecake crepe. What a treat! The graham cracker bits in the cheesecake filling really gave a nice texture. 2 reasons why I did not give this place 5 stars. - the plate that my crepe came on had two HUGE chips in it. Probably could have cut myself on it -the service could have been better, not very attentive. That being said, I would def try something else there. Especially the Korean BBQ!

This restaurant is another one of those places where I have eaten several times but have never had the chance to pen a proper review. The word on the street is that two food trucks merged and opened this establishment in the heart of downtown Jersey City. The resultant marriage is a yummy mix of your favorite token Korean dishes, large crepes, and various fusion combinations comprising these two categories. Since my first visit a couple of years ago, I have tried several dishes on the menu. My personal recommendations are the tacos (any variety), japchae, bibimbap, and smoked salmon crepe. For a delicious appetizer, opt for the chicken wings. For two people, the regular portion size should suffice. Speaking of portions, they are, in general, quite generous for the price, although the crepe was a little too light for me. That, however, is likely a reflection of my own body's metabolism as people I have eaten with were quite full after consuming any of their crepes. Their prices seem to have gone up a bit since their inception as a brick and mortar establishment, but the food has remained largely of the same taste and quality since my first visit. If you happen to be in the Jersey City area, this place is a must visit. It has the captured the stomachs of many even from afar. In fact, I was reminded of this place just last night when my brother mentioned to me that he was meeting up with folks at Kraverie; as far as I know, no one in this group lived within fifteen miles of Jersey City, and he himself is thirty-five miles away.

Kraverie had come up in my search around my office couple of times. Today I finally got opportunity to try it for lunch. It didn't fail my expectation at all. Probably because of the cold weather, the restaurant was not crowded at lunch time. We got a nice little table next to the window. I ordered the smoked salmon crepe with fries. It was delicious! I even finished all the fries! My friend ordered the BBQ platter. she didn't like it much and complained it was not spicy at all. I would love to go back again to try the bibimbap next time.

One of my favorite and go to restaurants. The food here is amazing. You have to try the Korean tacos, Seoul cheesesteak, and kimchi cheese fries. Pretty everything else is delicious but the above you have to try. There is not a lot of seating so it tends to get packed so you try to avoid the brunch and dinner rush. Staff are all very friendly and overall this restaurant is a must try.

I went to Kraverie over the weekend after just moving to Jersey City and I'm already in love. The Kimchi Fries and the Korean Cheesesteak are out of this world. This is my new go to stop and the staff is so friendly!

Nice, cozy little place. Such an interesting idea-French/Korean is a really weird combo, but it works! I had the salmon crepes, but that was after staring at the menu for a while as everything looked delicious. The atmosphere is very casual, and low-key, which for Jersey City can be a luxury sometimes! I'll come back to try everything else on the menu for sure.

I love cheese fries and get them where ever I go so a friend told me about this place. I came here with no real expectations but later found out that the kimchi cheese fries were out of this world delicious. I actually ate them there and then ordered more to go. The inside of the place is simple but nice and the staff is very pleasant. I would have sampled more but I had to get back for a business meeting. Coming back!

This is my go to spot for a quick fix for korean food. Although, the restaurant is a little small, it's never as packed or as busy, so there's always a table available. Last time, I got the kimchidilla (quesadilla with bulgogi and sour cream on the side) which is equally delicious as what I always get which is the the BBQ rice platters with the galbi short rib and bulgogi rib eye for $11. Ultimately delicious and fills you up. Comes with rice, sour cream sauce, and a side of house salad or potato salad of your choice. I also get the blooming tea which is beautiful to have flowers in the middle of the pot and the tea is yummy. The only thing I noticed was that the plates and the tea pot seemed to be chipped or cracked or nearly broken. They definitely need to replace them. Being that the restaurant is small, I don't have a problem calling the waitress over if I need anything. After the meal, my fiancé and I usually order crepes. He would have tiramisu crepe and I'd get the nutella. Both utterly scrumptious. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone. I have yet to try the rest of meals on their menu.

Great place! Loved my visit here. It's just a wee bits off from the PATH station - which is good. It's in a great neighborhood, so plenty to do before or after you come here - close to all your bells & whistles; public transit, that is. Anyway, this spot - Kraverie - offers fantastic Korean cuisine. The ambience is fairly inviting and the place is put together well. It's not going to bedazzle you but it's comfortable and pleasant on the eyes. It's a little tight - but I came here for dinner on a Thursday night and still had no issues strolling in. They don't take reservations anyway, so it's a matter of crossing your fingers (or just plain waiting, like cool people do). If you bring in a horde, be prepared. I definitely recommend the BBQ rice platters AND their Korean crepe. Both are absolutely delicious. I like the kimchi bacon fried rice too... but that may be my bacon bias speaking. Everything on their menu is kinda mouth watering, which is part of the appeal of this place. It makes you wanna come back to try the rest of it. Staff is attentive and food comes out quickly. No complaints. Their prices really aren't bad either - the food is great for what you pay! I've heard their delivery is great - so another thing to look forward to. RECOMMENDED!

I cannot believe it took me so long to try this place. I loved it so much I ate here twice in one week. My favorites are the Spicy Pork Korean Tacos and the noodles (forgot the name) with Sesame Chicken. The blooming tea tastes wonderful and is visually mesmerizing. I am very happy they deliver as well.

Updated with crepes review...! Got the BBQ platter which was $10. It came with a lot of rice, two meat options (I got chicken and beef), side salad and some spicy cabbage (kimchi). Great bargain for the price and portion size. Dine in space is a bit small, but on par with a lot of the small spots around Grove St. Also heard that its BYOB if you're looking for a quaint date night spot. Came back for the crepes as I got a living social deal and heard a lot of positive PR... Both lived up to it! The tiramisu crepe is amazing and comes with some whipped cream and powdered sugar on top. Not only was it a large portion, but possibly shareable if ordered as a dessert. Also got the Nutella madness crepe (love Nutella), which came with bananas, strawberries and Nutella wrapped in a crepe. Definitely recommend both if you are looking for a quick bite or dessert. Put it together with their platters and you'll leave stuffed for two in under twenty bucks. Shout out to Niki C and Xavier for the solid rec!

Kraverie offers sweet and savory crepes, Korean BBQ, and Korean tacos and burritos. Almost everything is under $10, and I believe this place is BYOB. I've been craving Korean food lately and thought I had my heart set on bibimbap, but once I saw the crepe options, I changed my mind. Vegetarian crepe ($7.50) with monterey jack cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, pesto, spinach, and roasted red peppers. Not the best I've had, but for the price, I have no complaints. The crepe was thin and light, and the filling was quite tasty. I liked that they included pesto in there. The olive oil from the pesto added a burst of flavor. I wish the spinach had wilted a little more though. Even though it was a bit chilly out, my husband ordered ice cream with his sweet crepe. Cheesecake crepe ($6) with cheesecake, nutella, strawberries, graham crackers, and ice cream (+$2). For the longest time, we sat there in silence, completely focused on our crepes. My husband was so enthused about his cheesecake crepe, he accidentally inhaled a little powered sugar. Oops! I know we will be back to Kraverie! Next time, I'll have to get the bibimbap, and maybe even the kimchee cheese fries?!

Another place where we are regulars. Small intimate place 2 blocks from the PATH station. The speciality is crepes and they are amazing. We usually try to have a light meal in order to keep space for some crepes. The food choices are limited but whatever they cook, they do well. The kimchi cheese fries, as everyone has said, are top of the line. Most times, we order the BBQ platter, the bibimbap or the kimchi quesadilla and they are all pretty good. The service is prompt and convenient. All in all, a very convenient option when one doesn't feel like cooking.

KIMCHI CHEESE FRIES, YES! (favorite part of the meal) what else we ordered: - korean tacos (bulgogk, kalbi, spicy pork) overall really good. tortilla was good and perfect amount of flavorful meat in each taco - seoul cheesesteak the bread was toasted to perfection and the spicy mayo was a good addition. they didn't skimp on the meat but would've preferred a little more kimchi - bbq platter (bulgogi and kalbi) generous portion. meat had great flavor. rice was a little mushy. you can't really go wrong with meat and rice i asked the server and they only deliver in downtown jersey city - wish they would venture a little further :(

Still 5 stars! I just love this place... As I try more and more items from the menu, I had to let you know that I didn't enjoy the Korean Burrito as much as I thought I would. Stick to the Korean Crepe or the Tacos. It was good, but all that sticky rice just got in the way of the juicy goodness of Korean BBQ'd meat! Also now officially in love with the Nutella and Tiramisu crepes. I'm kinda sorta on a mission to try EVERYTHING on the menu so stay tuned...

Was craving something different than the usual burger, pizza, etc. and found Kraverie. All in all it's not a bad place at all, portions are good, prices fair, and the food tastes great. Each item in my entree' had its own distinct taste, as opposed to everything tasting like the same thing. I ordered the KimChi-Cheese Fries ($5) based on the Yelp Tips and was not disappointed. I'm not even a huge fan of kim chi, but this concoction melded nicely to give a hint of the kim chi to add to the warm, crunchy, cheese fries. Much needed comfort food after a long day. I also ordered the BBQ Rice Platter ($11) which comes with rice, kimchi, house salad or potato salad, and those of 2 meats (galbi short rib, bulgogi ribeye, sesame chicken, spicy pork). My dishes came out pretty quick and tasted great! The salad and kimchi were fresh and crunchy and the ribeye and sesame chicken were sufficiently marinated and tender. Staff was friendly and attentive as well. The place isn't that big, so its not hard to get a hold of someone if you need to. If I had room for desert I would have tried one of the crepes but there's always next time. Overall, great value and food, however I wasn't particularly blown away so it gets a 4/5 for me. Next time I have a crepe craving I'll def. return!

I am so glad that we have this place near by in Jersey City. It's a cute and cozy place. We had kimchee fries, bibimbap, wings and cheesecake crepe. They were all very yummy, truly Korean style. I wish the waiter was friendlier. It seemed that he didn't really want to help us by explaining the food. I also wish the kitchen wasn't too close to the dining room. My cloth caught the oily smell. :(

Kraverie is a great neighborhood spot. Affordable, decent service and kimchi cheese fries, what more do you need, right? Well, you know what I need? Tofu! It's a cheap ingredient for this restaurant to stock and yet, they *still* don't offer a vegetarian protein option!!! In a place like downtown Jersey City, nearly every restaurant offer tons of options for vegetarians and vegans. And while Kraverie does have meatless menu items, they can't seem to get tofu on the menu for topping your bibimbop or japchae. I've asked about tofu every time I visit and I'm always met with a shrug from the wait staff and no actual answer to what I think is a reasonable question at an Asian fusion restaurant. Hoping this review will energize Kraverie to change this oversight.

So, I'm from Jersey City and for the past 13 years there have been many eateries popping up all over the place. Kraverie has been here for a while and for some crazy reason I had not gone there to fix my "Krave". Well my friends the Krave has been satisfied by two awesome things on the menu. I ordered the Seoul Cheese-steak sandwich that is made with bulgogi, fried kimchi, provolone cheese and spicy mayo. This sandwich is really tasty and there's an explosion of different flavors going on, but they seem to marry right on your palette! The same is truefor Kraverie's very-very delicious Kimchi-cheese Fries! It sounds crazy, but they are SLAMMIN! The only thing I lacked with my meal was a nice Affligem Tripel Ale. they don't have a liquor license, but it's BYOB Baby! Next time I will come prepared. But this is a great joint check it out!

Everything is soooo delicious, korean taco, korean crepes, cheesecake crepes, kimchi cheesesteak, kimchi fries. I love its bibimbap, too. Whatever I order, Kraverie never disappoints me.

Kraverie is a cute, petit restaurant with a fun, delightful menu. I really want to like this place but so far it's a 3.8. PROS: - Very affordable! I only spent $40 including taxes and tip for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert. - The service was quick. The staff members were nice but they weren't too enthusiastic about greeting and dealing with customers. They should smile and act more friendly! CONS: - It smells! The kind of smell that will stick to your clothes! So avoid wearing fancy clothes that are difficult to wash. - The place is very small it can only fit about 25 people. I definitely see how the wait time can get frustrating during peak hours. Luckily for me, I went on a Thursday night at 7 PM and they weren't busy at all. - It's NOT always open even on regular days!!! The first time I went was on a Thursday night (12/26/2013). I traveled half hour in the cold weather just to find out this restaurant was on vacay. I was mad and upset. What kind of restaurant closes for a full week!? So I do suggest calling up or checking the website before going to make sure they are open. Now the food: - Kimchi-cheese fries: inventive and delicious - I will definitely get this again! - BBQ Platter: Portion was surprisingly generous. I couldn't finish my plate! I chose bulgogi and galbi for my meat and potato salad as a side. The galbi was not your typical galbi - the slice and taste were different but tasty nonetheless. The bulgogi was also not your typical one but it was good enough when I went. The kimchi that came with it was rather dull. Definitely not the best kimchi in the world. The bbq platter was good but I didn't think it was spectacular. It's probably one of the least innovative items on the menu. - Bibimbap: okay, good enough but nothing extraordinary in my opinion - Tiramisu crepe: good but I'm not a huge fan Overall, it was good enough, but that's it.. just good enough. I wasn't overly impressed except for the kimchi-cheese fries. Nevertheless Kraverie is still a place worth checking out. I definitely see myself coming back but I will get a different entrée and crepe next time.

We've been to this place multiple times since my last review and while the food remains great, about 50% of the time we have issues with either the order being wrong, having to wait 15 minutes after they tell us to come pick it up, them writing down the wrong phone number and not being able to let us know they are downstairs with our order, etc. The management here really needs to take notice and improve their consistency of service. Simply repeating the order, phone number, and giving a more accurate time frame would make this a 5 star restaurant for the price, but the constant problems and headache have me knocking this down a couple rungs from my last review.

I went here the other day on the recommendation of some friends. Being an old fan of the Krave truck (I had no idea they teamed up for this restaurant), I was excited to revisit those old Krave truck memories. This place did not disappoint. The tacos were as great as always. And I have a new love, and her name is Kimchi Cheese Fries. Oily, Cheesy, Kimchi-yy goodnes. And with a crepe to top it off, and we're all good here!

Considering Jersey City is very diverse, I always felt there was a lack of Korean food options. I remember the Krave truck from a few years ago and I can't really say that I "LOVED" it so when I heard they collaborated with another vendor and opened up a store front, I kind of dragged my feet in going. A few weeks ago, my husband suggested it for a lazy weekend lunch option and I agreed. It was quiet. Quaint. Relaxing actually as well. For this Korean food deprived Korean, I ordered the bi bim bap with kalbi and a side of kimchee. Kimchee was EXACTLY what I needed and wanted. It was gone by the time my meal was done. I munched on it solo and put it in my bi bim bap. My husband ordered a sandwich and opened my eyes to the kimchi cheese fries. Delicious. Kraverie, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Natasha waited on us and she was very soft spoken and kind.

Diggin' this place... it's my offical "when 2 food trucks collide" spot in the hood and glad we've got some variety and options creeping in at Grove Street. Reasonable prices, generous portions, freshly-cooked and super tasty. Now all we need is a bar in there!

  • Alex Q.

First time here and will definitely return! There were three of us and we decided to share different items on the menu. All of the food was excellent, well portioned and cooked to perfect temperatures! The wings are a must! They are "lick your fingers off" quality! For dessert, have the dulce de leche crepes, you can't go wrong with them. Best of all, I was amazed at how affordable it was! Not to mention it is cozy and the service was great too! All in all, you won't be disappointed!

  • Metin E.

This new restaurant, which is a joint venture of two of the popular JC food trucks, is a great addition to the Grove St area. I was somewhat hesitant about ordering the Korean crepe at first, but this French-Korean fusion dish, as well as the kimchi fries, is amazing. Also the service is very friendly, yet they seem to be a little short handed during high traffic lunch and dinner times resulting some mix up with orders (I have been there 4 time cover the last 3 week), that is why I took a star off. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in the heart of downtown Jersey City.

Amazing. One of my most favorite restaurants in Jersey City. A lot of simple yet great flavors. The kimchi cheese fries are out of this world. Things to keep in mind- closed on Mondays and early on Sundays and also its BYOB!

Love this place! I'm usually too lazy to eat there, but their delivery is always quick, accurate, and tasty. The BBQ meat platter, the bibimbop, and all of the sweet crepes are delicious.

I truly love this place. Price is right ($7-8 for a filling crepe). I LOVE THE VEGETARIAN CREPE (eventhough I am not vegetarian!)

  • Spencer W.

Basically this place is awesome. I've been here about 10 times...it's my go-to when people from NYC come to visit Jersey City since it's great food and unique. PLUS it's cheap, BYOB and not only are the Korean Crepes the bomb...but that's even before you get their dessert crepes A LA MODE!

    (5)
  • Anne G.

KIM CHI CHEESE FRIES!!! = awesome.. I love, love, love this place. Such a different type of food, and awesome prices. Korean food + crepes = dangerous combination. The place is BYO so thats an even bigger plus. I usually get the three tacos, and put different meats in each. Each type of meat is equally good. I have also tried the Cheesecake and the Smores crepes and they were AMAZING. I can't wait to try every single item on this menu - I don't think this place can go wrong!!

  • NYcritic N.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The owners are wonderful and treat you like family and the food is the best kind of fusion you can ask for. I highly recommend you try at least everything on the menu at least once. It's also BYOB which is a great perk. The crepes for dessert are tres magnifique. The wings and Kimchidilla are also a must try. It's intimate but no longer Jersey City's best kept secret as it's usually packed most evenings and on weekends for brunch but they are very accomodating so stick around if there is a short wait, it will definitely be worthwhile.

  • Margaret Y.

Korean tacos were ok. the galbi was good but not good like Korean bbq. Liked the kimchi cheese fries better. It was good, just didn't seem korean. I didn't see any Koreans working there.

  • Ethel B.

For sure this is not authentic Korean eats. But one would think they would offer a few spicy options on the menu. They have kimchi fries which have kimchi. As far as I know and have tried, kimchi is spicy. But these fries are sloppy and are soaked in watered down kimchi. The food is also way too sweet. I had the kalbi beef and rice which was more like sugar and rice. I asked for the sriracha bottle and what I got was watered down sriracha, There was no spice in it at all. I am very disappointed I thought yelp users were going to be right about this place.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night around 7:30 and there were 1-2 tables open always during the time we were there. Had the cheesesteak, the Korean crepe, the tiramisu crepe and the lemon crepe. All of the food was delicious (left not a bite behind) but the service was slow considering how fast the food came out. I think they tried to give folks their space, but we were just plain hungry. They also gave me beef instead of chicken, which ended up being perfect, but still not what I ordered. For the crepe, you get two scoops of ice cream when you order. Five stars for taste and innovation. I haven't eaten somewhere this cheap and unique in awhile.

First time experiencing Korean dishes so all the flavours were new to me. Kraverie is on the same street as our AirBnB rental so we tried it first. Very nice cosy restaurant with very good staff. Service is very quick (8:30 pm on Friday) and it's very affordable.

Found this place while visiting friends in Hoboken. Read some yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. We got there late, around 5:50 (we didnt know they close at 6 on Sundays) but they were still very accomidating and welcoming. The place was hustling and bustling up until close (they seem to do tons of take out). We ordered a variety of menu items and we were not disapointed with a single one! We tried the Korean Wings that wereD-D-D- DELICIOUS! personally, I would prefer a bit spicer, but just the perfect amount of crisp and crunch over a slightly spicey, flavor-packed wing. Then came our "Bulgoggi cheesesteaks". Please hold, as I need a moment to whipe the drool that is overflowing down my mouth. The perfect choice of bread (being from philly, we know it starts with the roll!) with marignated beef, some grilled kimchi topping and ozzing jack peppered cheese holding it all together.... is your mouth watering yet!? Several of us shared the hefty burritos stuffed with spicey pork... this one was my absolute favorite! having a hard time finding the words to bring justice to my new obsession. We finished the meal with picture perfect (sweet) crepes. the nutella was not over whelming like at many places who just slap several toppings inside. (I've had they'yre crepes from the truck before, so my expectations were met favorably!) mmmmmm! I cannot wait to go back... Dont tell my friends in Hobo, but I will be making plenty more trips up to see them while visiting my new friends at the kraviery! the only request/suggestion I have for the owners is to PLEASE send your truck to Philly!

Giddy up! The Krave truck and the Crepe truck had baby... and its delicious. Watch out snookie doesnt steal your kimchi- the house that they are filming Jersey Shore at is about 10 feet away. I stick with the deelish short rib Korean Tacos

  • Joel T.

My wife and I have gone to Kraverie twice in the past year. The food is delicious. I had the Korean tacos twice and they were delicious. The only issue we find is that the place is small so you feel pretty tight while eating. Other than that, good service and top quality food.

  • Barry M.

The 5 stars is really for the kimchi fries, which is something that everyone, everyone, everyone needs. The rest of the food is also worth getting, especially for the price. This is now one of my favorite go to spots in JC for cheap eats.

  • Ashley P.

When my boyfriend came home one night letting me know that a Koren bbq/Creperie restaurant was opening in our neighborhood, I was skeptical. But-the owners of a crepe food truck and a Korean bbq truck have joined together to make 'krave' worthy cuisine. Before I was done with my first meal, I was already on to thinking of what I would have next time. The food is creative, complimenting and bursting with flavor. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is because your clothes will smell of Kraverie for 5 days after your visit. Enjoy!

  • L L.

I am rating on food and not atmosphere! The food was amazing for the price! They give large portions and don't skimp! Everything from the bbq plate, tacos, kimchi cheese fries, and banana nutella crepe were flavorful and amazing!!! I like the fact that this has a "Mom and Pop" environment to it but there are some issues like not a great spot for a date unless you and your friends are at a point where you just want to eat good reasonably priced food and people watch. The dining room is very small and cramped and the wait can seem endless but expect that going in and you'll be fine!

  • Tom D.

Absolutely delicious, understated little gem in Jersey City. Nestled just to the side of the town hall a few steps from Grove St this is an easy going, relaxing place with excellent food. We had brunch there but they seem to do all meals as well as take out. The Korean tacos were exquisite and there's an interesting blend of Korean and French cuisine. Loved the dulce de leche with walnuts, banana and ice cream. The ambiance is relaxed and its a charming little place with terrifically good grub. All too easy to walk past on Grove but once you've tried it quickly becomes a favorite.

  • Tommy R.

Fantastic! It's a terribly unassuming little place that is banging out really delicious things. The Seoul Cheesesteak and the Tiramisu Crepe are really very tasty, and I've gone back again and again. Simple place, easy service by a server who remembered me from my previous visit which I always love, and a quiet spot to grab lunch for one. I'll be back.

  • N P.

Yummy! Love their glass noodles and chicken wings. I eat here often and many times, I just pick up the smores crepe for dessert...Absolutely the best crepe I have ever had!

  • Ann L.

Solid place! Cozy place that is inviting and great friendly staff. Tried a few items on the menu tonight with friends - kimchi cheese fries to start. SO GOOD. who knew?? Wings were good... prefer my Bon Chon but that's not a fair comparison. The cheese steak with kimchi, bulgogi and cheese on a warm baguette - yum, delish... the gogi was really flavorful and again, the kimchi and cheese really made this pop. The Korean crepe was pretty good (cheese steak was better), but the dessert crepes totally clinched the dinner experience - tiramisu crepe may just be my new fave IT dessert. Overall, some mediocre dishes, but some that just really leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy instead, they taste so darn good. I'm going back for more soon!

Decided to come here because of yelp and thoroughly enjoyed the unique Korean BBQ flavor of the dishes. The delectable wings and the kimchi cheese fries deserve special mention but the entire menu is full of inspired choices that will leave you fully satisfied.

Kraverie is the result of a partnership between the former Krave truck and the Lucinda creperie truck. I had tried both (Krave was really-really poorly made korean fusion and Lucinda was just ok). After reading raving reviews on Yelp, i decided to give Kraverie a try. I went there with my bf and ordered a few items off of their menu - the kimchi fried rice, kimchidilla and one more item that was unmemorable. The food was just disappointing! I am not particular or picky about food, but this was just so bland and the portions so small, I am in shock that they are still in business (and I am even more shocked that people like it!!!!). My bf thought it was okay. I think that if you go there without expecting korean food, then, it is edible. Otherwise, if you go expecting anything resembling korean food, you will be very disappointed. Also, there is no ac in the store. I don't think I will be going back...

I always heard great things about this place from everyone in the neighborhood. So finally a group of 4 of us decided to hit this place around 9pm Friday. The place is small and was packed - maybe 20-25 seats total. Therefore lingering is frowned upon by management - perfectly understandable and I hope the customers please respect that. Decor is simple - just a bunch of 2/4tops with a bar with 4 stools. The waitress informed us there would be a 15 minute wait. Sure enough, we were seated in 15 minutes. I have to say, everything was tasty and well made. We started off with large order of chicken wings, dumplings, and kimchi fries. We then ordered the Korean crepe, cheesesteak, burrito, and kimchidilla. All were excellent. Service was friendly but adequate. The restaurant is BYOB no corkage. However the wine glasses are pathetic - need to get decent glasses. Also the restaurant closes early. The restaurant is more like 3.5* than 4*. All in all I'd recommend it.

    (4)
  • Gene L.

the tiramisu crepe with bananas, strawberries, nutella, and ice cream was really good. interesting ice cream too - i think it's milk flavor (and not vanilla), which i haven't had in the U.S. (only in Korea). we had the korean wings (which were just way too sweet for me), the dumplings (which were crunchy, but lacking in flavor), and kimchi fried rice with bacon (which was seriously bland). for the price, it's pretty good; and we're definitely going to try it again. the servers were very nice. there wasn't much of a wait.

I loved Lucinda creperie and they captivated me with their new business. I loved their desserts as per usual. Good to see familiar faces-- especially the couple behind the business.

  • Rick S.

Solid eats in a simple, comforting ambience. This is a combined effort of the Lucinda Creperie folks and the Krave Korean BBQ folks. They've created a restaurant you can sit down and eat in. The first time I went I took the Korean Crepe as a talk out. It was something different, kind of unique. I'm not a big crepe person, except for dessert crepe's, but this was pretty good. The second time I went I had the BBQ rice platter, with Bulgogi and Chicken, and a side of potato salad and kimchi. This was great, I think better than how it's offered in the truck. The Bulgogi was especially flavorful, and the meats had a mild spice to them. The kimchi was good, then potato salad was awesome. The first time I went it was relatively empty, but the second time the place was pretty packed. Even if you don't go to eat, it's a nice place to catch an after dinner dessert crepe. I recommend it for dinner though.

Kimchee fries wunderbar. One day will test the tacos. LA may have Kogi Truck, JC and the East Coast has Kraverie. As for ambiance, am thinking this place falls just short as does most of the Northeast, & wish most food joints had openable French doors or windows. This foodie, with an architecture degree says, let's put the pedal to the metal baby. Bring the outside in & vice versa.

  • Silena S.

Kimchi Fries is all that needs to said!! I went for lunch here to try the kimchi fries that were mentioned in Yelp and i was blown away by the deliciousness that these fries had!! My friends had the cheesesteak and veggie crepe and they are soo good, i was favorable to the cheesesteak myself!!!!!Cute little place and they have some outdoor tables. Great service. Go go go to get the kimchi cheese fries if you do nothing else you will not be disappointed!!

  • David C.

Had takeout from here. Tacos were pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with the Bibimbap and a bulgogi quesadilla. The bulgogi quesadilla was definitely interesting... it tasted ok. The tacos were definitely the best of the items I got, I'd definitely come back here for the tacos.

Many people (*cough cough* New Yorkers) will disagree with this statement, but I had the privilege to visit Jersey City because my friend who recently moved there. To those people, I say: screw you, I happen to like New Jersey. Kraverie is one of the great eateries along the Jersey-renowned Grove Street. Their Korean crepes (ordered with kalbi short ribs) and tacos (ordered with ribeye) are dangerously delicious, and we didn't break bank to enjoy it. This is the upside to leaving Manhattan.

    (5)
  • Kat T.

I would give the food a 5-star, but the delivery was taking way too long. When I ordered, the lady said it would take up to 40 min. I waited for an hour already; I called back and the guy said the food was heading out SOON. If you are hungry, don't order delivery from here. Otherwise u will starve.

This is one of the best additions to Jersey City in a long time. You get the great Korean BBQ from Krave and fantastic savory or sweet crepes from Creperie. Prices are great, service is great, and the food is delicious. Highly recommended.

  • Anna S.

Really great fusion restaurant in the heart of JC. I probably make it to this place once a week. The food is simple and flavorful. The service is generally prompt unless they are really backed up. But even then, it's really all but a 15-20 minute wait. I love the Korean BBQ Platter with spicy pork and bulgolgi with the side of potato salad. I have enjoyed most of their entree dishes. Still have yet to try their desserts. The french and korean combination is a real win here. This place is always crowded around 7pm and seating is limited. Also, it is BYOB.

    (4)
  • Joo D.

For some reason, the food seemed to taste better when they were the original truck. I do recommend their spicy pork and bolgogi but their chicken seemed too much on the sweeter side. Perhaps my review will change after trying their crepes but as of now, they are an average place when it comes to their taste, quality and price.

    (3)
  • Cara D.

Don't let the lack of space and unusual fusion of foods fool you. Kraverie hits the nail on the head on both the Korean and crepe arena. Based on yelp reviews, we started with the kimchee cheese fries (honestly, I wouldn't have tried them otherwise) and was pleasantly surprised at their deliciousness. I had the bibimbop and my boyfriend had the Korean tacos; both of us were scraping our plates. The s'mores crepe was an excellent ending to our meal. Service is excellent and everyone is very pleasant. We didn't know that it was byo, but you can bet that we'll be swinging by again with our own bottle of wine.

This place opened recently, and it has a really classic feel and look to it. It is just a simple nice place to go for a dinner. The is food crazy good here. I have tried few of their dishes and I have never been disappointed. All of their dishes always seem to surprise me with joy. Anyone going here...have to try their kimchi fries...i get it every time I go here. The bbq rice platter is superb, even the tacos are awesome and topping it all up in the end with a different styles of french crepes for dessert.....there is nothing more to as for.

Our first experience with Kraverie was fantastic. We ordered delivery and it arrived promptly in 30 minutes. Everything was creative and delicious (we had the Bibimbop, the Jahpchae noodles, and the Korean crepe) and both of our kids (who can sometimes be picky) were enthralled (my son asked if we could eat Korean food every day). I will definitely be a regular.

Super fresh and creative Korean inspired menu with twists. Dishes included fusion concepts like a Seoul Cheesesteak, Korean tacos and French / Korean crepes. Small, fresh, inexpensive and creative menu. BYOB. My favorites are the short rib tacos and the traditional bibimbap rice bowl. Heard amazing things about the cheese fries, will get them next time. I eat here 2x's a month, its always busy so best to go early.

  • Esteban C.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The Seoul Cheesesteak is fantastic. The S'mores crepe is one of the best crepes I've ever had. Bibimbap and other dishes are great too. I would have given Kraverie 5 stars but they sometimes close at strange hours (and entire days), and they deliver only when they want. It's simply inconvenient not to know when you can and cannot eat there. If Kraverie fixes their logistical issues, it will be my favorite in Jersey City.

  • Lidia A.

This is one of my absolute favorite places for takeout. As many others have noted, the Kimchi cheese fries are absolutely outstanding. I also love their quesadillas, cheesesteak and fried rice. I've had one or two instances where the tacos were a little drier than I might like, but I feel that the overall deliciousness of the food still merits a 5 star rating.

  • Mary K. S.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and although the place is small, my friends and I got a table fairly quickly. I decided to come here after seeing they had the bi-bim-bap on the menu, and after having it at Basic Foods by Hamilton Park and loving it, wanted to try it here. My friends ordered some crepes and really enjoyed them. I talked up this bi-bim-bap so much that my other friend got it too. She said she liked it, but I could not seeing as there is a major difference in the dish from basic to the Kraverie, and I was disappointed. Otherwise, you get a lot for your $$, it's a cute place, very sunny, and comfortable restaurant, though the bathroom could use some work.

yes, 5 stars, people! my husband and i path trained it over to jersey city from nyc for an afternoon, in hopes of finding something a little different for lunch, and kapow! we found it here! this place is a jersey city mega gem. we had the kimchi cheese fries--to die for! and a short rib crepe, and the noodles with the pork. all of it was beyond fantastic, and such a good price. we love originality, and this place got it so so good.

We went to the Kraverie for the second time tonight. The first time we went the ingredients were very fresh and we had a great meal. Tonight the food was decent however it was nothing special. I am willing to give it another chance but I was slightly let down tonight.

Kraverie is the story of two neighboring food trucks that merged to create one delicious restaurant! My sister and I recently stopped in for dinner and ordered a large assortment of dishes including the Kimchi-Cheese Fries, Korean Tacos, Kimchidilla, Bibimbap, and the Dulce de Leche Crepe with Nutella, Walnuts, and Banana. The food was delicious! We agreed that the must try dish for EVERY diner is the Kimchi-Cheese Fries - a unique flavor combination that surprisingly works so well together!! The menu is priced right and the wait staff is so friendly and personable. We can't wait to return!!

Korean tacos and a place to sit, what more can you ask for!? You mean I can get a crepe with nutella and bananas topped off with ice cream too!? Street parking is as limited as their tables. Bon chon chicken wings are better than their wings. BYOB

I went to Kraverie tonight for the first time. I had eaten at both the Krave truck, and the Creperie truck, several times over the past few years. I had also gotten delivery from Kraverie once (Korean Crepe - YUM) and takeout from Kraverie once (Korean Cheesesteak - YUM YUM). Tonight I went over with a sweet group of Yelpers fresh off Yelp Drinks at Bar Majestic. Kraverie was the BOMB. The owners were super nice, the place is economically priced, and it's BYOB for Pete's sake (but be warned, there aren't any liquor stores within a several block radius, so be sure to grab your booze before you get to the restaurant). I ate the BBQ Rice Platter, but also grubbed on Kimchi-Cheese Fries and Korean Chicken Wings. All of the above were very special. After all the Korean, and the wine, I capped the meal with a Smores Crepe. It was phenomenal. My entire party of Yelpers was extremely happy with their meals. Korean BBQ and French Crepes. Best interracial marriage ever. Kraverie ROCKS!

Casual vibe, small but cute interior, and it's byo. The Bulgogi, Galbi and Spicy Pork tacos are amazing! Hubs had the Galbi Burrito which wasn't bad, too much rice. The winner of the day? Kimchee Cheese fries are the bomb! The portion is pretty large, enough for 3-4 people. I wanted to try the dessert crepes but unfortunately was too stuffed. Next time.

Excellent food... We had kimchi fries...which were absolutely delicious but perhaps a little high on calories..chicken wings were out of the world and the chicken tacos were great too...the bambio rice was ok..for deserts the tiramisu crepe with vanilla ice cream was perhaps our best dish and a must have in my opinion. Overall very pleased with the food and service... However, the place is a little cramped which is why minus one star for a what otherwise would have been five stars!!!

I've been here only once and got a cheese steak sandwich. My wife had some vegetarian dish. The food was okay, but I was expecting a little better. I'll give it another try but at this point it doesn't seem like anything special.

This place is awesome. The food is excellent. I had the Korean Steak & Cheese and it was so good that I went back the next day to get it again. I'm definitely looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. The price point of the items are definitely a plus as well. I took my family of 3 and spent about $35 bucks on dinner and that included an appetizer and a dessert. Can't beat that!!! The people are extremely nice and welcome feedback from their customer's. I will definitely be a frequent diner.

Loved the tacos from the truck, and went here expecting only tacos. But lo and behold, it was a much larger menu of things I'd never heard of! We started with the wings. They were finger-licking good, but there were still a few chicken hair/feather things in them, which skeeved me out a bit. My boyfriend went with the tacos, and they still proved to be fabulous, (although maybe a little more greasy than in the truck??). I went with the Seoul Cheesesteak. Yum-o, but again, the cooks could notch down the grease a bit. We got a table outside which was nice as we would have come out smelling like Korean BBQ had we eaten inside. Our server was excellent.

Finally got a chance to check this place out. The kimchi fries are excellent and are a must have here. I also had their burrito, it was tasty but it was heavy on the rice and short on the ribeye and other oral pleasures inside....if that wasn't the case, this would be a five star venue.

Got a Kraving for Korean BBQ but don't want to spend a lot of $$$? This place satisfies! Bulgogi and Galbi are great values -good meat, correct seasoning and cooked right. Tried the Korean Tacos, all good even the Chicken and Spicy Pork. BBQ Rice Platters if you are really hungry, can't miss with any combo, and the rice is of high quality for a take out joint. Plus it's BYO. What;'s better than that? Pass by BuyRite for a bottle or 2 of Soju and you've got it made, no need to drive to Fort Lee.

Food: 3/5 Ambiance/service: casual I kept my number ratings somewhat ambiguous here because honestly there really isn't very much else to say about service or ambiance. I get that this is a fusion place, but just wasn't impressed by anything. I expect every fusion place to either excel at the actual 'fusion', or excel with one half of its intended mix. Aside from the kimchi cheese fries, everything else fell short a bit. Kimchi Cheese Fries: probably the only memorable thing about this place. Fries were delicious, with a generous helping of kimchi + cheese sauce. BBQ Combo Platter: I ordered the galbi + bulgogi with the house salad. The salad was light and refreshing, but the bulgogi was very dry and the galbi was way too chewy. They also need to adjust their portion sizes---there was way too much rice (more than 50% of my plate) and not enough of everything else. I had a thin border of dry bulgogi and a decent corner of galbi. The salad could have been a little larger and the kimchi a little less wilted. I like my kimchi with some bite and crispness--I had a sad little molehill in the corner that disappointed. Please please please marinate your galbi for long enough and with some kind of tenderizer...way too chewy. Crepes: I'm not sure which one I had since my friend ordered for us, but it had bananas and strawberries, with drizzles of chocolate inside and a side of vanilla ice cream. Crepes were unremarkable and honestly quite soggy. We started eating it the moment it came out, but there was no crispness and although the dough was a very pretty golden-brown, it was just a few seconds shy of perfection. The ice cream had small chunk of ice in it, not sure what else to add. Seoul Cheesesteak: My boyfriend got this and didn't have much to say about it. This is probably their most-hyped entree, but at first glance his bulgogi looked as dry as did mine, although it probably tasted better, as it was smothered in cheese. Like some previous reviews noted, this is a very no-frills and casual place. But for a place named 'Kraverie', I would expect it to at least satisfy a craving or two. I'll come back for the fries and maybe try the Japchae, but otherwise not very remarkable.

Back to Back at Kraverie. Once with a friend, once with my girlfriend. Both times, we all got the same thing. I'll probably be back again for the same thing. Kimchi Cheese Fries ($6) brings a lot of food. I really enjoy these especially because the actual fry is decent by itself, so once you throw everything on top, it makes it something you have to order at least once. Seoul Cheesesteak ($9.50) is taking a crazy American sandwich and giving it a much needed curveball. It isn't the best sandwich, but it beats a lot of others I've tried. The kimchi and spicy mayo work great together bringing some heat. I always get the Bibimbap ($9) because it not only gives you so much food for the price, but it's delicious. I always add meat for $3, so it really comes to ($12), but again, a lot of great food. The amount of veggies to meat to rice is a perfect ratio and it just all works so well. I really wish there were more options like this on the menu, a little more Korean than American, but I can get down with some twisted traditional dishes. I've been back, so I'll probably GO back again. It's a really simple place, no frills. No booze either. The wait staff are attentive, but they're also not really doing much. That's not a knock on them, just don't expect much if you're going to Kraverie to sit down and eat instead of ordering delivery.

This little "Korean-French" fusion restaurant is located right outside of New York City and among the other restaurants there, a little gem of a spot! It's cute, close to the Grove Street train station, and serves Korean food! However, the Korean food can be a little underwhelming. I'd stick to the wings and dessert crepes if at all possible! The Venue: It's a small location that has a very cute interior design. The music was so loud we had to switch seats and my friend complained about the seating on her side because the seat was too high compared to the table. Once we switched to a table with two chairs, everything else was fine. 4/5 The Food: I wanted so much more out of this. I tried the Korean crepe because, hey, if I'm going to be visiting a French-Korean fusion, I'm going to try the most fusioned food I can get. The crepe was boring. It had onions, mushrooms, and protein (I picked galbi). They were all pretty tasty on their own but I mean you can't go wrong with onions, mushroom, and galbi (short rib meat). I expected something more inside the crepe, the crepe to taste better, to be filled more. Maybe I've been spoiled but this is definitely not a dish to get here. My friend got the Korean bbq dish with 2 proteins, veggies and rice. The kimchi was good and the meats were marinated well. They tasted similar to what I would expect from Korea (given the buffer that this is not Korea) and the rice was a tad bit undercooked and hard. The only redeeming things about this place are the fried things. The chicken wings, the fries, the kimchi fries, are GOOD. Those things alone bring it up to a 4/5 The Service: They seemed busy and were preoccupied but our waters weren't filled unless we asked and we had to call several times for the bill. That's all good and fine. They seemed short staffed but hey, you can't judge service and food from just one visit right? 3/5 Overall: Would go again. 4/5

3 words. Kimchi, Cheese, Fries. Get it, it's amazing. No, it's not like Bon Chon's where you get slices of kimchi, rolled into fries that get all soggy. These are real cheese fries with pureed kimchi on top. Don't come here expecting traditional Korean food and the free sides. Think more like "food truck experience in a house", which incidentally is where this place originated (food trucks). I had the Seoul Cheesesteak which was quite good, just wish it came with fries or a some side. Meat portion was pretty good (you can never have enough meat though...), but could have used more kimchi. Also wish they served kimchi to share, but I'll let that slide a little. The crepes are quite good, though I think are a little expensive for nutella, marshmallows and some fruit. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood!

Loved this place! Went with my roommate earlier this year -- no normal human being can ignore the call of "kimchi cheese fries". We had plans to indulge, and watch 50 Shades of Grey right after. Our guilty-pleasure setting consisted of the kimchi fried rice, wings, fries, and bulgogi tacos (this one may have been my favorite). Everything was stellar, living up to its rep, and the service was friendly & personable. Finishing up this review, I just realized that I'm overdue for another visit.

Small quaint little business with just amazing food. It's combination of Korean, Mexican, and French. My favorite is the kimchi cheese fries and the Korean tacos. Service is relatively quick here, they seat you and ask for your order within a few minutes. They have tacos or a quesadilla with Korean meat options (galbi short ribs or bulgogi ribeye are my favorite options). The kimchi cheese fries is highly suggested for the table to share! I usually go with the three Korean tacos, the meats are so tender and perfectly marinated and the flavors are just paired so perfectly with the contents of the tacos. The soft taco shell also isn't thin so it doesn't crumble after just one bite but lasts until the last bite with the fillings. The bibimbap isn't cooked in a clay pot as in most Korean restaurants and the egg is fried already instead of cracked just raw but it was still a delicious slightly altered version. The japchae noodles are very simple but made very well nonetheless, another one of my favorites. We had the Nutella crepe to wrap up our meal and it wasn't disappointing at all. The Nutella, banana, and strawberry proportions were spot on, just enough in every bite. I love this place, one of my favorites in Jersey City!

Not a big fan of kimchi but still love the Korean food. My favorite type of protein is the short rib, but the ribeye and chicken is pretty good as well. I heard the wings are good as well but never tried them. They recently changed the setup in the store to allow for my tables as well. In addition, they put a couple of tables outside if your interested. The prices here are really good too, do not expect to pay that much. Plus it is a BYOB baby!

Big portion of food and fast service. I would give 5 stars but when I try fried kimchi rice with egg I don't like it. I had it before from other place and it's so good that's why probably I got a high standard or expect the same. Overall I'll comeback if I'm in the mood of KoPa (Korean food and Parisian dessert)

I had very high hopes for this place after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, it fell flat, for the most part. I ordered (for delivery) a ton of food - about $50 dollars - see below (give me a break, I was madly hungover after a wild night in Hoboken). Wings - not at all crispy and slightly soggy. Flavor was OK but didn't like the texture at all Korean Crepe with Sesame Chicken - just OK, nothing special Kimchi Fries - my favorite - these rocked! Fish Tacos - eh Nutella Cheesecake Crepe - pretty good but I'd prefer the crepe was thinner (can't help it, I'm Russian and was raised on "blini" which are super thin Russian crepes and are awesome). So I tried a lot of stuff and was overall kind of disappointed. I do love the fusion and the unique options...

Always a pleasure coming here! The staff and waiters are super friendly and prompt. Always refilling waters and asking if we need anything. I will forever get the bibimbap as it just has so many flavors! The only thing missing is the side dishes. It's the closest I could get to the Korean town in New York. I get the bibimbap with bulgoki and ask for extra sauce. This dish SLAAAYS. My boyfriend got the nachos which came in a giant pie portion which suits him well considering he's a giant. He ate it all and loved it. As usual, the kimchi fried never seize to amaze me. It is so much flavor in your mouth you wouldn't even know what to do with all that flavor. Trust me. Get it. This time I didn't get dessert as I was too bloated to even stand up but I usually get the tiramisu crepe with vanilla ice cream. It's the bomb! My mouth is watering as I think about it. I might even get it this week. Overall, kraverie is my go to spot for flavor and Korean food! Right next to ahris kitchen! Final verdict: let's just say if I had to choose something to eat everyday it would be kraverie.

You can't eat here without ordering the kimchi fries!! Trust me ( and all the other reviewers) The chicken bibimbap was okay but I wish they were a little more generous with the meat! It's a small, cozy place with quick service. Overall, good experience and will be coming back for more!

I been wanting to try this place for a long time since I lived in JC for some years now but never had the chance until recently. I had a delivery order from Kraverie on a cold December night. On a Saturday night delivery took maybe about 45-60 minutes after I placed the call, definitely not a speedy run but then again it could be the norm for the area. We've gotten the recommended Kimichi Fries, Seoul Cheesesteak and Bibimbap. The fries I thought were decent in size and cheese but I thought adding kimichi to it didn't make it taste any better. Perhaps I'm just not a Fusion food fan but I thought it wasn't really worth the fanfare I've been reading. The cheesesteak I thought had a bit too much cheese. The meat were tender and juicy however and bulgogi in this instance worked really well. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the Bibimbap but it seemed my friend liked it quite a lot. Perhaps I should give their crepes and tacos a try next time. I think those are the more popular items compared to what I've got. It didn't live up to my expectations but overall wasn't a bad meal so I thought 3 stars here would be fair. Its definitely great to have good variety in JC though and I think Kraverie's business proves that people craves Korean food quite a lot here :)

Just ordered from Kraverie largely due to the reviews. I got the kimchi cheese fries, tacos and kimchi and bacon sticky rice. All of the options were very good, although I will admit that towards the end it became a bit overpowering. The tacos, one each of short rib, ribeye and sesame chicken, were delicious and I did not think would be filling but ended up being just right. The sticky rice was a great option and plentiful. Maybe the mistake was ordering too many items that had kimchi, because each dish was great by itself but together left me feeling overpowered. I will definitely try again and maybe try the crepes.

I'm trying not to sleep while writing this review due to overwhelming food coma but this establishment will surely ignite your taste buds. I came here on a Thursday afternoon with my friend Stephanie Y. before going to Steph Y's (Yelp CM) going away party. I heard many positive reviews about Kraverie and had to experience this phenomenon for myself. First off, there is abundant parking around the restaurant. Luckily, we found a spot right in front of the place because I'm Wade C duhhh. :P As we entered Kraverie, we noticed the cool Frenchie artsy paintings on the wall. A server led us to a table by the window and my friend and I quickly studied the menu. It was a no brainer. We ordered: 1. Blooming Flower Tea: very nice soothing tea to kill the grease. Server gave us a tea pot and we had to wait till the flower bloomed. Make sure you hold the lid while pouring the tea. 2. Seoul Cheesesteak: bulgogi, fried kimchi, provolone cheese and spicy mayo. Boom. If you love eating cheesesteak, this is a must have. The Bulgogi offers plenty of juiciness and flavor with each bite. It was nicely marinated and tender. The Spicy mayo tops it off and leaves your mouth watering for more. 3. Kimchi Cheese Fries: seasoned fries with Monterrey Jack cheese and spicy pickled cabbage on top. This is the main reason why I will be coming back to Kraverie. Instagram likes was over 40 in 10 mins LOL. Best fries topping combination like ever. I never cheesed so hard man...it was so dericious to eat. Loved it. Fries were really crispy and the kimchi complimented the cheese. A family reunion from the east and west. Make sure you buy this unique dish when you come!! Kraverie is also BYOB. Cheers*

I came here because of the Yelp reviews and the dishes sounded crazy interesting...made me think "Gotta try it". So I drove down here and checked out this little eatery. The staff was nice, the place was clean. It took a while for me to make my decision but I followed the waitresses advice, the cheesesteak and wings. First, the wings were cooked well and slathered with their sauce; however, it was a little too much on the sweeter side for me and required much more heat. For the cheesesteak, I liked the fact that the cheese didn't overpower the sandwich, the bread crunchy, and the beef was yummy; however, the kimchi wasn't very strong in flavor and just gave a boring hit of heat. With the lack of heat, I had to use their hot sauce, Sriracha (which I like), but it just messed with the flavor too much to truly be a huge fan of. The idea of Korean-American fusion is great, and it was definitely put together appropriately when they came up with the menu. However, this place drastically lightens the spiciness and bold flavors associated with Korean food to give way to a more tame fusion meal.

Interesting eats. A friend wanted to come because she got a Yelp "what's up" news letter about crepes. We got there, pleasantly greeted & seated. Small dining area, with the option to sit cafe style. We chose indoor. Realizing it wasn't just a crepe joint, but a Korean-French-Mexican fusion; we're like, now we must have dinner & ordered the chicken florentine crepe. The plate of deliciousness was befitting for late night gathering. They we're even accommodating to remove the Monterey Jack cheese from my entree. Of course dessert was ordered, I couldn't pass up the dulce de lechè, banana & walnut crepe! On food fantasy tastebud scale of 1-5 it ranked a 5.

I wanted some kbbq before heading to Zeppelin hall and I stumbled upon Kraverie. Who doesn't love good korean bbq?? The interior of the restaurant is very simple and the staff are extremely nice! I came with a ton of friends (and more kept showing up) and they were very kind and accommodating. There aren't many seats so I was very grateful. For my order I decided to share a pot of blooming tea with a friend. Watching the bloom is very fun! It was so pretty and the tea was a mild tea with hints of jasmine. We also shared the yelp famous kimchi fries! What a cool take on cheese fries. They puree kimchi and mix it with spicy mayo which really cuts down on the harshness of the kimchi! For my main course I got the bibimbap with bulgogi. Their bulgogi was soo tasty. Well marinated and not overcooked. The rice had good flavor and all the vegetables were bright and fresh. I've already been recommending this restaurant to everyone I know in the jersey city area!!

This was the second restaurant I've been to in Jersey City and I've visited many more times afterwards First off, the kimchi cheese fries are must have, as everyone else remarks. With a side of Sriracha they are easily one of the best appetizers in JC. Sometimes the fries come out too hot and are difficult to eat but once you let the cheese congeal a bit the dish is perfect. As for entrees, I've had both good and bad experiences. The Seoul cheeseteak is a fan favorite and is perfectly meaty and satisfying. I've also had the Kimchidilla w/ ribeye which was also incredible but leaves you feeling a little empty. However, the burrito I got once was not satisfying- an odd mix of vegetables w/ not nearly enough meat- quite the opposite of what makes the Seoul cheesesteak great. All in all, fun & different food @ affordable prices and a staple of my jersey city food rotation.

Cruised into Jersey for some business..figured I try some Jersey eats.... Ordered the Seoul Cheesesteak cause it was one of the things recommended...sadly i didn't get the fries. The place had just opened up so there was no wait or line. Cute place though Food was made to order (well obviously right) anyways - on to the food review Presentation - it was in a to go box but....nothing fancy...just a sandwich cut in half and kinda dumped on my box lol Food - it was aite. honestly it was nothing really wow or interesting. I felt like the meat was marinated in store bought teriyaki sauce (like the ones you can get at costco..that big bottle) but it was cut very thin and so the juices did get marinated well into the meat. All the sandwich consist of was the meat, kimchi and cheese.... iono...i wasn't impressed

Fantastic place. It's literally a minute away from where I live. Great food only a stone's throw away? You can't beat that. I came here with my friend one weeknight for dinner. The place is quite small, but there is enough seating for 15-20 people. It seems more like a takeout place though. The hostess was nice - she sat us down immediately and asked what we wanted to drink. She has a bit of a resting face, if you know what I mean. But she didn't come off that way with her demeanor. To start it off, we ordered the Kimchi Cheese Fries. For entree, I ordered the korean tacos, with bulgogi, spicy pork and galbi. My friend got the korean burrito. The kimchi cheese fries definitely lived up to the hype. They were absolutely delicious. The fries were crispy and the cheese and kimchi paste really blend in well together. I just wish they put more kimchi paste on the fries. There was barely enough for the amount of fries they gave! As for the tacos, the spicy pork one was probably my favorite, though I did like all three. There was a little kick to the spicy pork that really made it that much more special. The galbi was really good too, very succulent. The bulgogi was my least favorite. It was a bit bland and dry. I might have caught it on an off night. My friend liked her burrito, but she didn't really think it was anything special. Overall, for the price you pay, the food is amazing and the service isn't bad as well. I'll definitely be back again for the tiramisu crepe, korean wings and the bacon fried rice! Oh heck, who am I kidding, I'm going to eat everything on the menu.

Had lunch with my 2 year old and ordered the BBQ platter. It's a small & cozy place. The beef & chicken was very tender & tasty. The pork dumpling was just right, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The food was good and definitely will return with friends.

UPDATE: I stated in my initial review I had a stomach ache right after leaving, well turns out I actually got food poisoning and was vomiting all night. So, this morning I called and said that short rib might have made me sick in case they wanted to look into it to prevent other patrons from getting sick, and the response was oh no the short rib is fresh is wouldn't have been that. I usually like kraverie, get take out from here and recommend it to friends in the area. Well, after today I won't be doing that. I suggested to my boyfriend we go there for an early quick dinner. We both order noodles with short rib and kimchi cheese fries. Our food took over 45 minutes to come out, and don't get me wrong, I enjoy a slow paced meal, but I assumed noodles would be quicker. They forgot to put in the side of fries which I had raved about it to my boyfriend, so no fries for us. The short rib was horrible quality, a ton of fat and cartilage. Food was horrible, I have a stomach ache as I write this. Our server seemed to be miserable to be there. There were a ton of people crowding in waiting for tables in the small space with babies crying and people complaining about the wait time, which made it even harder to enjoy the meal. I understand patrons can be difficult to control but there was no staff making an effort to reassure them or let them know the wait time. So disappointed and irritated, won't be going back.

The service was horrible, the waitress had been really rude to us the whole time. The food made up the points. Considering the food itself was 4 stars. The four of us shared the chicken wings and ordered main courses individually. I had the bimbimbop with short ribs and the dish was really authentic and delicious. Would definitely want some more maybe by take out or delivery. My husband and one friend had kimchi fried rice, another friend had cheese steak. According to them those were really yummy too.

The kimchi fries are mind blowing!! You cannot come here and not try them. I typically get the bibimbop. I can't speak to how authentic it is, but I like it a lot. I add the bulgogi (ribeye) which has great flavor and is cooked well. I've also had the Korean crepe, which is very good. I personally didn't love the Seoul cheesesteak, too much bread and not enough substance. I love dining at Kraverie, it feels like you are eating in someone's home. And it's BYO! Also, the prices are more than reasonable. The servers do their job; however, they aren't very smiley or welcoming. Doesn't deter me from returning though.

I'm drowning in a sea of yumminess! If it weren't for my kids I probably wouldn't have tried this! This restaurant is a small tiny whole in the wall off of the main road. The service was wonderful, the waitresses were friendly, patient and offered great advice! The food was super delicious! I highly recommend the chicken dumplings and kimchi and cheesy French fries for appetizers! The bulgogi bibimbap was so flavorful and delicious! The BBQ rice platter was equally as yummy with a side of sirracha sauce to mix in with the meal. I didn't even get to taste the famous fish tacos because my husband inhaled it- it was that good! For dessert we ordered the tiramisu crepe (do yourself a favor and order 3 of them) and the lemon and sugar crepe! The texture of the crepes were a little bit thicker than most, but oh man are they good! Definitely try this restaurant, it's homey, delicious, and extremely reasonably priced!

I've been here a couple times when I visit Jersey City, and I have never been disappointed. The crêpes are tasty and the kimchi fries are so addicting!

I am really happy I found this place after a long journey under this hot weather. The jasmine iced tea was simple but quite delicious. I was not expecting it to be that good. I ate a bibimbap: nice sauce, nice and creamy egg!

When I first moved to the neighborhood, this place came up on my yelp app, when I saw that this place served Korean tacos I immediately said to my fiancee. "FIANCEE LOOK, THIS PLACE SERVES KOREAN TACOS, MUST TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" You can tell that I love Korean tacos. Tortilla + Korean grilled meats + kim chee + gochujang = awesomeness After a few visits to this place, I'm just slightly disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were too high. The only thing I will recommend without reservation are the kim chee cheese fries. In fact, they can charge few extra bucks and turn it into an entree. Perfectly fried fries covered in a mixture of kim chee and some kind of soft cheese, I assume ricotta. It was perfect blend and I can eat this all day. Everything else was much less stellar. Everything just seemed to be a little bit off. Korean tacos were served on flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas and could have used a bit more kim chee. Kim chee fried rice wasn't "fried" enough, rice was still soggy and bland despite adding (excellent) kim chee and bacon. Korean fried chicken just wans't crispy enough. Nothing was truly bad, but everything wasn't all the way there. Or maybe my expectations are too high. It's hard enough finding regular Mexican tacos, perhaps it would be hard to find good Korean tacos here as well.

We've been here several times and its always decent. The menu is well priced and there's something for everyone. I particularly enjoy their wings and tacos.

Best place to eat Korean BBQ!!! I also loved their french deserts. Their tea is a miracle, haven't tried such a nice one for so long. Highly recommended...

Kimchi fries?! Short rib crepe?! I was game reading the menu and it totally satisfied my taste buds and hunger. So glad the original brunch place was packed or I wouldn't have found the place. Got packed quickly, but it was a Sunday lunch hour.

Great cheap eats in a cute setting. The kimchi cheese fries are something to write home to. The fries themselves are zestily seasoned and topped with gooey cheese and spicy kimchi. Fried, cheesy, spicy goodness? I want this. Always. The wings and bimbibop were also really yummy. Prices were fantastic and portions are huge. We spent $23 on the above items and walked out ready to roll home.

Arguably one of the best crepes I have had. Some of the must orders - 1. Kimchi Fries 2. Korean Wings 3. Chicken Florentine Crepe 4. Korean Tacos 5. Cheesesteak 6. Any (literally) sweet crepe The founders of Kraverie are pretty cool (Chris, Chuck and the beloved Natasha)...always eager to know their customer and asking if the food is on point. My wife and I have been old customers of this place and hope to be for a very very long time. Hope this review was helpful!

I read about kimchi cheese fries and thought to myself "ew wtf that sounds so gross" But I thought the same thing about Korean tacos..now I love them! I loved their kimchi fries so much that I made them for a party. Of course they were a huge hit (a party full of Asians haha) It sucks that this place is far from me. I think about Korean tacos from time to time.

I really enjoyed eating at this place, and can't wait to be back. Wife and I shared an order of chicken wings, kimchee fries, and bibim bop. The bibim bop was forgettable, compared to other places, but the wings and fries were a masterpiece. Amazing fusion of American and Korean food. I can eat those all day! Oh yeah, we also had the crepe, which was fantastic!

So, this place seems to be a mix of Korean and French. The server recommended Bimbibap for vegeterian entree. And it was amazing. Especially the sauce which added to the yum flavours. My friends tried their kimchi fries which tasted pretty good too. Not to forget their crepes are awesome. The best crepes I have had in Jersey city/Hoboken. Worth a visit. Vegeterians however might find limited options to try. They also do a lot of home delivery as we saw a person continuously doing rounds for the same.

Location is right across city hall so parking can be much. Price point is great and the food is beyond yum. Too die for! Be prepare to wait as the place is tiny. No worries it will go fast.

Me and my boyfriend love this place! The menu isn't much, but I have nothing bad to say about the food at all, in fact some of the food I've tried are so scrumptious! Korean/French food dish seemed quite odd for me and my boyfriend, but when we tried the Korean beef crepe(I don't know the name of the dish exactly but close enough I hope), it was so delicious. The chocolate crepes are to die for! The only thing that I didn't like was the prices. I feel like for a small cafe like restaurant like that shouldn't be that expensive. The beef crepe my boyfriend and I had was I think about $9 the crepe desserts were $7/$8 I believe. The portion of everything seemed so small for the price in my opinion. So I think the prices are a little high than it should be. Since it's just a small cafe like restaurant. Anyway kraverie is really good! But I wouldn't come here as often since if I'm going to spend close to 40 dollars worth of food I'd rather go somewhere like Max Brenner and spend more money on it.

As many people have recommended, we ordered Kimchi cheese fries, kimchidilla, and seoul cheesesteak. All of them have kimchi in it. Very oily ang greasy menus but kimchi has made those lighter taste. We are very saisfied with their food. I could not have a drink because I had to drive up to MD after eating there but it would be awesome if I could have a bottle of beer with food!

I wasn't a fan of the Seoul Cheesesteak...I mean if your craving for a carb, cheese, and kimchi flavor, you CANNOT GO WRONG with their kimchi cheese fries!! Oooo goodness soooooo good! Fish tacos are pretty good, the Korean tacos are pretty good, and the BBQ rice platter is top notch. Also the potato salad...always order potato salad as the side (you won't be sorry). I wasn't too impressed with the Jahpchae Noodles. And that cheesecake crepe nice ending. And I can't say it enough, the kimchi cheese fries are a MUST.

Kraverie is a staple in Jersey City now... their fries are a weakness of mine (I love the swirled in a ketchup/siracha mix). We always get the wings - and when they are fresh, theres nothing better. My guy always goes for the cheesesteak (its incredible) and I bounce around with the Bibimbap, the tacos, the cheesesteak, and the Korean crepe (which, is one of my favs -the crepe is so light!). My sister and mom were visiting New York for a weekend from Ohio and Portland, OR (respectively), and I made them come from their hotel in SoHo to Jersey City specifically for dinner here. I mean... NAILED IT. I think they may only come back to visit me to eat here again. pretty much - you cant go wrong with anything from their menu. Staff is friendly and generous. The wait is well worth it.

One of Grove Street's greatest treasures. Great space with good lighting, chill music, and attentive but not overbearing service. I come here on my own quite frequently for lunch and have always felt comfortable. The food is AMAZING and I admittedly crave it on an almost daily basis. The bbq rice platter is to die for.

We ordered in based on the positive reviews. I got their version of the cheesesteak and it was very flavorful. The delivery was extremely quick too! Looking forward to visiting them in the near future.

Came to jersey for the NYCC and stopped at this place because of the reviews. Unfortunately I think my taste buds are different then the reviewers. I got the beef bulgogi burrito and it was very underwhelming. There must have been a bulgogi famine when I was visiting because little was in the burrito. Size wise it was half as big as a chipotle burrito, but sadly it cost more. My girl got a sesame chicken crepe. We both found this bland and the tastes it promised on the menu didn't deliver. While food wasn't terrible, it is not worth the price. We were also served warm tap water that tasted like it was from the bay. Another tip...if you have drippy foods, don't have cloth booths.....every stain shows.

Whenever I'm at Kraverie with my husband we ALWAYS get kimchi cheese fries, seoul cheesesteak, and kimchi bacon fried rice. Food is always so flavorful and you can always add srirachi for more kick if needed. The restaurant itself is small and can get cramped but I've never had a problem. I've never had a problem with the service from the staff.

Um, I'm confused by these rave reviews. I'm also confused by their "Korean Food and Creperie" business and I'm not sure I want any part of it. The atmosphere of this place is fucking weird, and it smelled like wet animals when I went in there with my mom. Granted it was pouring outside, but does every restaurant smell like wet dog when it rains? No. Was it the people? Or the restaurant? I never want to find out. Their servers were also a little awkward, which made me feel really awkward. I feel like this place should be more casual, and I guess at the end of the day it is, but casual in the sense of ordering your food at a counter and then just sitting down, rather than plated table service. If this were real table service and this was some sort of Legit Korean establishment, I'd have boatloads of banchan and I wouldn't have to pay $3 for their sour kimchi. FOR REAL, PEOPLE. My mom referred to this as the kind of place "Americans would like if they want something different." You know what she meant. I ordered a burrito with spicy pork (was not spicy) and my mom ordered the BBQ rice platter with bulgogi and galbi. The food didn't take forever, but it wasn't quick either, and a burrito, honestly, takes something like four minutes to prepare. Meh, whatever. It was okay. They asked if i wanted hot sauce, because they knew that shit was not spicy, and I said hell yes please and asked for the gochuchang, what they serve with the bibimbap, instead of the sriracha. It was cuh-razy diluted. My mom thought her galbi was good but that her bulgogi was too sweet. I ordered another platter, with bulgogi and chicken, to go for my boyfriend, and that came out super quick compared to our entrees (in maybe 10 minutes). HUH? $30 for three "entrees" wasn't that bad, obviously, but the burrito was kind of whack for $8 and either needed more filling or a side to justify it being $8. This place was fine, but I will probably never sit down and eat inside again, take out only - although you people have bad shit to say about their takeout. I consider it a bootleg sit-down version of Korilla, which is probably a bootleg of Kogi in LA, which I have never frequented - but at least Korilla is good. Three stars instead of two because it's at least in the neighborhood! Also, what the fuck is up with Asian restaurants that do not give you chopsticks or offer them? We had to ask. If you want to get down with this cuisine and claim you LoOooOVe Korean BBQ and all that noise, learn how to appreciate the traditional eating utensils, son!

First thing you will notice when reading these reviews is that everyone recommends the Kimchi Cheese Fries. I read the same reviews before coming here and ordered them, and dayam are they amazing! This would be my favorite twist to fries, though second to In n Out animal style, but these fries are definitely some of the best iv ever had! Share this 5$ app between 3 or less people or else order more, you will not be disappointed. They are known for american-korea fusion, but sides on more the american side of things as the korean flavors are less so emphasized. They do this very very well. My 3 korean tacos dish (i guess this is more mexican) was very tasty and very filling and it was only $7.5! This place is very cheap compared to other places nearby. I was very full after the fries split among 3 and then the 3 tacos but I just had to try the crepes because all of the reviews said to do so. I had the tiramisu crepe which was huge for 6$ and it was one of the best dessert crepes i have ever had. This place is cheap with quality food and perfect for brunch or lunch!

A must try when in the Jersey City area. A unique blend of Korean/French and booth done very well. I had the Spicy Pork Bibimbap which was prepared as expected (Sweet, Spicey, Sour, and Savory). The table shared a Korean Crepe which was had a perfect of the two styles. Again a MUST try when in the area.

Get the kimchi fries and bulgogi steak sandwich! My absolute favorite! FYI to people new to this place, its a smaller spot so take out may be a much more viable option than eating in

I've now eaten there a LOT of times. My favorite item is the Seoul Cheesesteak. It is seriously delicious. It's great to stay in, and great to get to go. I think when you get it to go, they keep it out of the styrofoam box until you get there, so the condensation doesn't build up in that awful steambox of a to go container. I highly recommend it.

We got the Seoul cheesesteak and Korean crepes, and both were awesome. I especially liked that they used a baguette for the cheesesteak. For dessert, we got the tiramisu crepe, which did a great job evoking a tiramisu dessert. Service was fast. We were in and out in 30 minutes. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back. Still so many items on the menu to check out.

Love, love, love this place. Awesome little food spot. They started out with a food truck, then they opened their restaurant - best idea they had! Mostly all of their options are good, with the exception of the Korean wings. I personally wouldn't order it, but I would scrub off a wing from a friend if they did. It just didn't quite hit the spot for me. I would highly recommend the Kimchi cheese fries and the Seoul cheesesteak (they use bulgogi meat) and top both with sriracha... Soooo good. My go to options whenever I come to Kraverie. All in all, Friendly staff. Good service. Good food. Great prices. Check the place out!

American - Korean style food. It's so delicious. I recommend the Kimchi cheese fries. They have a good tangy taste with the crispiness of the french fries and added thickness with the melted cheese on top makes a great combination. I also like the Korean wings which has the hot and sweet taste like Bon Chon but more saucier. I've also had the Korean Crepe which is like a light pancake skin and inside is filled with meat you want, Kimchi, onions, mushrooms, and melted cheese. Overall the ingredients tastes fresh and what makes this place good I think is the Kimchi. It is freakin delicious. If you want to eat inside there is limited seating so good luck getting a seat. Also they don;t have AC so prepare to sweat if its a hot summer day.

well, I went here over the weekend in hopes of trying something different and unique and of course finding a parking place. I was not disappointed! The food was wonderful and the parking place was exceptional, (thanks to Wilkins). I was on business scouting parking spaces and also candidates for lurkers positions. But that aside I had the BBQ rice platter with ribeye and sesame chicken. As it is a Korean restaurant the music choice of the Bothy Band seemed a little odd but the world is changing. Just like I never really appreciated the uilleann pipes before I had never had kimchi before either, and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and melodious it was it was the perfect addition to the sweet meats and sticky rice.

What else can I add to the 150+ reviews here that hasn't already been said? Forgive me if I sound like everyone else... ~ Those kimchi cheese fries? They'll be the death of me. Not sure I'll ever be able to enter JC and NOT stop in to shovel a plate of those right into ma belly. ~ Blooming tea? I've had it before but after last night I'm so smitten that I'm actively looking to buy blooms and a glass teapot. ~ Bibimbap with no meat? Eh, too much rice, too much shredded lettuce, not enough of everything else. Still, pour that sweet chili sauce over something as simple as white rice and you'll be eating it all up anyway (only to regret not leaving yourself enough room to try any of the dessert crepes!) ~ Savory vegetarian crepe? Perhaps not the best dinner choice as I think I would really enjoy this more for lunch or brunch but it was delicious! No complaints. ~ Service? Awesome. Seating? Packed to the gills so the bar had to do. Space? Clean. Inviting. Small. Why are you still reading this? Go, get your kimchi on!

Holy bulgogi! I can barely write this review, as upon viewing the menu my eyes became way larger than my stomach. I of course ate everything. I came here for lunch with my homie and it was a solid 4 star meal, but, I am just so excited about it I am giving it 5 stars. As you can read from other reviews this place was born from 2 truck owners combining efforts. Don't you just love partnerships and camaraderie? My friend Rachel W. and I split an order of the chicken wings. The small order consisted of 8 meaty chicken wings that were smothered in an amazing, flavorful sauce. They were the perfect amount of crispiness. They could have been a bit more spicier but, I'm also a freak when it comes to heat. The hotter the better. It was a hard decision between the choice of Korean burrito, tacos, cheese steak sandwich and the other various options but, I went with the Korean Crepe and my friend went with the Veggie Bimbibap both priced at $8. The crepe was really good. The bulgogi was sooo good. I could eat bulgogi for pretty much every meal. The crepe came with a delicious little side salad. (I opted for the salad, there was a choice of fries as well). My friend thoroughly enjoyed her Bimbibap exclaiming the sauce was amazing. I am so stoked to try the tacos and burrito here. Potentially Friday? Too soon? A few extras I am equally excited about: BYOB and delivery!

I came here for take-out, so I can only base my experience on that. Another place I knew about for quite some time, but never had the opportunity to visit. I was craving something 'different', and after reading some Yelp reviews, I had to give this small joint a shot. I ordered the Korean tacos (spicy pork, short rib, and sesame chicken) and a side of the kimchee cheese fries. The tacos were not bad; I liked them in the order that I had listed. However, the kimchee cheese fries were, in the words of Jimmy 'JJ' Walker, "DYNOMITE!!". So good that I had to save some - which was very difficult to do - so my wife could give it a try when she came home from work. Her only complaint was, "Why didn't you give me my own order!".... We'll be back Kraverie. This time with a nice bottle of sho chu or wine!

We only had the crepe...MY GOD. A picture is worth 1,000 words...so, check out the Yelp Photos and order 1,000 cheesecake crepes when you're done. You'll want to. They are so good you'll want them for all 3 meals of the day. And it was cheap! And the staff was super nice!

if i lived in jc i would come here once a week its so good!! Creperie and Krave began as food trucks and decided to settle down together and became a wonderful cozy cafe for friends and couples and family to dine in. lets start with the kimchi cheese fries - yumm! the fries are nice and crispy on the outside, soft and potatoey on the inside with fried kimchi chunks sprinkled on top over cheese. a must have for appetizer. seoul cheesesteak - when it came out i was worried that the bread was too thick to be able to taste the beef marinade and the rest of the stuff inside, but it was definitely balanced well. kimchi bacon fried rice - this one was my least favorite dish. not enough bacon. and it was a wheeee bit bland in my opinion kimchi tacos - these were pretty good, but for 50cents less id choose the kimchidilla. i think its more filling and it has cheese! dessert is good here too, cant ever go wrong with nutella, and i think i tried the tiramisu one also - pretty similar. the crepe is thin but chewy, will be trying the cheesecake one next. the staff is very friendly. its a small place, (maybe seats 15 people max?) so would not recommend large groups.

A place like this would be packed in NYC. BYO, Cool, legit fusion cuisine, great prices. It's cute and cozy, no frills. I got the vegetarian crepe and kimchi cheese fries and my kimchi hating husband ordered seconds of fries. Food tasted light and everything was fresh. Our dining companions finished their respective burritos and korean crepes. Dessert crepes: s'mores. nutella makes everything magic. we left not a scrap on our plates.

I don't typically give five stars to Korean fusion restaurants but I have to make an exception for kraverie. Prices, service, speed, quality of the food, presentation, portions, and byob make this place my new favorite restaurant. What impresses me the most is that Koreans (fresh off the boat) are frequently spotted dining here in groups and that's generally a very good indication that the food is palatable and agreeable and almost certified authentic. It's catered to all palates and I would bring anyone here who wants to experience Korean food but are apprehensive about foreign flavors. I recommend kraverie. The waiters remember you and the experience is always amazing.

Okay, before we get down to the nitty gritty I want you all to know this. I come from San Francisco, where Asian Fusion is still a huge trend (let it die already, geezus). With this said, I have had my fair share of fusion foods in every which combo way possible. Asian Fusion is a bit tricky. You've got to make sure the flavor profiles that you are fusing actually work. Then you've got to execute well. Execute poorly, and you are a disaster. The other thing about Asian Fusion is that you cannot over charge. OoooO I'm not a sucker for overpriced fusion foods, you best believe me on that one. So. I had this spot bookmarked right after it opened. My buddies live a couple of blocks down and hadn't even tried it by the time I got to Jersey City. It's a quaint little spot in their 'hood, easily accessible by the Grove St Path station (I got pretty good at navigating my way to NYC via the Path woohoo! Go me!) and just a short walking distance from where I stayed. Servers are friendly, remembered to refill water yadda yadaaaaaaa Ordered the kimchi cheese fries and the kimchi fried rice. First thing to note: decently priced. You won't break your wallet because... HUGE PORTIONS. 3 of us were able to kill the kimchi cheese fries. I really liked them. They were cheesy but I wanted them a little more... wet? Maybe more actual kimchi or some gochujang? Kimchi fried rice was huuuuge. Like bibimbap sized. Couldn't even bring myself to eat half. If you're in the area looking for some good eats, give it a shot. It's like a 1 1/2 dollar sign price range I'd say.

You should eat here. That being said let me tell you why. First of all this place is honestly one of a kind never before have I seen such a fusion of spicy Korean food and sweet french crepes. No matter what you have it takes your taste buds on a wild ride. if you're scared you can always get a normal crepe with chicken and cheese the chicken florentine crepe was excellent. If you happen to be adventures you should get the Korean crepe. Real fresh Korean food mixed in a sweet french crepe something you really have to try before you die. As far as appetizers go the Kim chi fries are the best fresh crispy fries with whole bunch of awesome stuff on top sure to get your meal kick started. It's byob so be sure to bring yourself a nice bottle of wine and you and your spouse and or friends can have an amazing dinner with some pretty epic food. Not to mention they have incredible desserts. They are sweet and tasty great fresh ingredients perfect way to end a perfect night.

I know that so many folks absolutely love Kraverie, but I'm not a huge fan. I don't particularly dislike the place, but I certainly don't crave it (despite the name). I have tried just about everything on Korean side of the menu. My favorite is definitely the burrito. I prefer the bulgogi over the other meat selections. I have had some consistency issues, though. Sometimes the bulgogi is great; others it is tough and chewy. I think that what really drives me crazy about Kraverie is that the flavor is a little one dimensional. I feel like each dish is a tweaked version of the others. Beyond that, the dishes themselves don't offer much in the way of variety. Despite the fact that most of the menu items feature a good deal of ingredients, there is very little in the way of contrast. I like food that has more than one note. I do, however, highly recommend the sweet crepes. I have only ever had one that was not well prepared (it was crunchy). They are normally great, and totally worth the calorie splurge. I think my next Kraverie move will be to try the savory crepes. Maybe then I'll change my tune!

Don't come here for the Korean food. Come here for the Korean-French fusion food, instead. It's a small place off Marin & Mercer, and they have a small area out front for the bikes and strollers, if you have them and want to leave them out there. Stairs up, so beware to the handicapped. Relatively small dining room, so large groups may find it hard to get in. On to the food - A limited menu, with some Korean classics, and some fusion dishes. The bibimbop is not up to the par of the plethora of choices in nearby K-town just a short ride away on the PATH to 33rd & Herald Square in NYC, and the japchae is too sweet. The bulgogi meat - a bit dry and tough, and not savory enough coming from the grill (plus a relatively small portion of meat - plenty of rice). The cheesesteak was reputed to be good by one of my dining partners (we had 6). And props to them for helping take care of 2 toddlers and an infant at our table. The Korean bbq wings weren't spicy (though were labeled as so) but were still pretty decent, though undercooked. The BBQ fried rice with bacon and kimchee was good. The fusion crepes and other dishes that mix cuisines is probably a better choice here - the Korean food you'd be better fit to go get from K-town. Will also try out their crepes in the future, too! The service was friendly and warm, but lacked anticipation in regards to things as simple as chopsticks (we were a pretty Asian table) and extra napkins (for the kids). Aside from that, not impressed, but wouldn't be adverse to coming back to sample some new dishes I saw on the menu.

This place my be the reason I stayed at my terrible job in Jersey City as long as I did. lol. I remember stumbling on this place one day when I was walking around Jersey City on my lunch break. I would've completely missed it had there not been people sitting outside eating. Kraverie is located on a street across from the courthouse sandwiched between some rowhouses/apartments. The only downsides of Kraverie is that they're closed on Mondays and it's pretty small and I think the secret is getting out about this spot because it's usually full. I usually always have the cheesesteak and the crepe with cheesecake, strawberries and nutella (TIP: Eat the crepe there. Don't try to bring it back to the office or it will be wet from all the steam in the container). The crepe has to be the best one I've had to date and the cheesesteak is incredible. I haven't tried their fries or wings, but I'm sure they are amazing. I no longer work in Jersey City, so idk when the next time I'm going to get some Kraverie :'-/ I might have to make a trip out there though.

Great: Kimchi fries, BYOB. OK: Vegetarian Bibimbap - it was flavorful but a little dry for my taste. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Have to try the vegetarian crepe next time. Its a cute little place located right off Grove path train station, perfect for a quick and value weekday dinner. They will be seeing me around quite often.

If you are familiar with the Krave food truck that used to frequent the Grove St. Path station area, then you can say that Kraverie is the restaurant equivalent. The selection of food at the Kraverie, however, is slightly larger with a dessert menu that offers sweet crepes. The food they serve here, however, caters more to those who prefer fusion style or westernized forms of Korean food. I personally prefer traditional when it comes to Korean food, but the food they serve here is not all too bad, especially with regards to their tacos and crepes. Also, no chopsticks here, just fork and knife. I can say that if you are going to venture to Kraverie for the first time, a must-try is the Korean tacos. For one, there aren't too many places that offer Korean tacos, and it's non-existent for traditional Korean restaurants. A Korean taco is simply a soft taco filled with some lettuce, pickled radish, and a form of Korean meat. For the filler meat, go for a sampler of the pork, bulgogi and kalbi short rib. In addition to some tacos (you get 3 tacos for one order), you should try the BBQ beef platter. This one is a well-sized dish that comes with 2 types of beef (of your preference), rice, and a side of potato salad or house salad. I personally enjoy the kalbi, pork, or bulgogi out of the beef selections, and you simply cannot go wrong with these choices. To end it all, please give one of the sweet crepes a try (hopefully you'll have some room!). I tried the Nutella strawberry banana crepe, and it was probably one of the best crepes I have had. I can't say this place offers a perfect experience for me as there are a few kinks I have with this place. For one, the BYOB policy is a good and bad thing in my book. Usually, BYOB means that you can bring any form of alcohol, but I did bring spirits to this place while being unaware that they had a policy of wine and beer only. Just to warn you, don't bring any form of spirits here because they won't allow it unless it was your first visit and you were unaware of that rule. Also, I am not sure about the whole sit down experience. The service is friendly and somewhat attentive, but it's nothing that feels all too personable. I had at least 3 different waiters come to my table asking me what I wanted, and I was left wondering if they even have one main waiter for each table. One time, some customers who came here while I was dining with my guest was extremely LOUD, like decibels louder than necessary that I can hear everything. The Kraverie is quite small, so by having really loud customers next to you, it can be a huge distraction and ruin your whole time there. This is not a bar, a club, or a giant restaurant that accommodate loud noise without it reverberating all over the place, so I kind of hoped the manager or waiter waiting on their table could tell them to keep their voice levels down, but they didn't. It's no one's fault though, but sometimes having loud people at this place can really kill the entire mood. All in all, great restaurant that serves awesome Korean tacos, kalbi, bulgogi, and pork. I wish this place existed in the city as well because I would definitely be at this spot for lunch every week.

I've always heard about the Krave food truck that frequented the Grove St. Path station area. I never checked them out. Now they have opened up a Kraverie restaurant across the street from City Hall in Jersey City. A group of use decided to go to Kraverie's for desert after dinner. We order the S'mores (nutella, marshmallows, and graham crackers) and if I'm not mistake, the Cheesecake crepe (nutella, strawberries, and graham crackers) to share. When the waitress placed the crepes down on the table, it was more than enough for six people to share instead of three. I enjoyed both crepes and I hope to try the others on the menu. As we were eating our crepes and enjoying each other's company, I noticed the waitress place a plate of Korean Wings down at the table next to us. They looked GOOD. I will definitely have to check Kraverie's out again.

Shared the kimchi fries, the chicken wings and Korean tacos. It tasted okay (certainly not the best I've had...but I've lived in L.A.). The chicken wings could've been crispier. It was a little bland for me. No kick. The meat in the tacos was a bit dry and not very flavorful. They also were out of galbi at lunch...like c'mon seriously? The fries were crunchy but I wish they had more kimchi topping/sauce. The waiter was so apathetic. He seemed like he didn't even want to be there. And he didn't offer us small, empty plates, so we were dropping food everywhere... Unfortunately, after eating both my bf and I felt really queasy and sick. Something about the food (the greasiness? something past due? i dunno) did not make our tummies feel good. :(

I ordered their Seoul cheesesteak and it was unlike anything I could have imagined. Delicious! We ordered delivery because the weather was awful but there wasn't much delay on our food.

Try not to come here when it's hot outside. We were seated right under the air conditioner, but it was so weak it didn't make a difference. We were sweating throughout the meal. This place is miniature. I wouldn't recommend coming with a large group. I was pretty disappointed with the mediocre food, inattentive service, and uncomfortable experience. To their credit, we arrived about an hour before closing time.

Got there early last Sunday for dinner with the family and was very happy with our food! The menu really is a mix of Korean and Mexican, with the best of both in my opinion. We had the spicy pork burrito, korean style wings, bbq combo and the Korean crepe. We did family style and everyone loved it. Of course, we had to have desert, knocking off the Tiramisu and Dulce de Lece crepes. Ambiance is casual and service was ok if not inspiring. We had a 2yr old with us and she loved it too. Great place, highly recommend it. And it was packed with a line up by the time we left - be warned!

I ordered the Korean Taco's and they were amazing. I would absolutely eat here again. Next time I'll be sure to try the Korean Cheesesteak too.

This is a a Korean BBQ fusion type place. I didn't really expect to find one in Jersey, but I was pleasantly surprised. As many people have said, the kimchi cheese fries are a must try. They are not spicy despite the kimchi (which I liked). The kimchi gave the fries a nice tanginess and a little crunch and balanced the cheese really well. These just work. I appreciated the fact that they fries were good- really well seasoned and tasty. Sometimes, when you have fries like this, the fries lack flavor and all the flavor comes from the toppings. Not the case here. The combination was perfect and just really good. I also tried the crepe. It had grilled onions, mushrooms,Galbi short rib (you get a choice of meat), and cheese. It was nicely wrapped and not messy even though it sounded like it would be. I was disappointed though. This just didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked. I love sautéed mushrooms but these has no flavor and brought the dish down. The Galbi was delicious but there just wasn't enough- for $8, I would have liked a little more. As someone else pointed out, it seems a little pointless for them to not let you substitute the kimchi cheese fries for the fries (or salad) that come with the crepe. I don't mind paying more but it just seems pointless to get double sides. I would be back for the BBQ rice platter or maybe a burrito. And those kimchi fries are awesome, although (as expected) pretty heavy. 5 stars for the fries, but the crepe brought this down for me. Maybe 4 stars depending on how the other food is, but 3 for now.

Best place in Jersey City to get Korean-French fusion. I give it 5 stars cause I order there practically every Friday. Love the bibimbap! Menu is not too big and i have practically tried almost everything on the menu 8 more Fridays and I can officially say i ate everything. I will update my review once i get pass that finish line.

Burrito is hands down the item to get with a side order of kimchee cheese fries. I picked up my order and the guys there are very friendly - no issues. It has earned it spot as a solid contender in the Grove Street restaurant area. Definitely coming back here again - dine in/take out.

Having lived in Virgina and eaten at many Annandale restaurants, as well as Korea town in NYC, I had very low expectations for this little place. But I was pleasantly surprised! No, it's not the same experience as traditional Korean BBQ restaurants, but the meat is delicious, and the fusion dishes are tasty. Take out is great, although they do charge a delivery fee. The restaurant itself is very small and low key, which I actually enjoy, but definitely not a fancy place.

Korean fusion was something I hadn't tried, and when I saw the Bulgogi crepe available and kimchi fries, I had to try them. The kimchi fries were simply mediocre but man, was that crepe flavorful! My only regret is that I let my fiance try some haha! I ordered a salad with it, which was the perfect complement to a salty entree. The prices are quite affordable and the place, while small, is cute. Check it out!

I enjoyed an early dinner here with my boyfriend. We keep saying that considering that we live in downtown JC, we ought to explore more restaurants and the cold temps these past few days have definitely encouraged us to follow through on our word. And so enters Kraverie... I'm actually a huge fan of Korean food and was very much in the mood to have some this weekend, but I didn't want to travel to 32nd Street nor to Fort Lee. I was excited when I found Kraverie - Korean with a bit of a flare. The interior is cozy - it was nice and warm when we walked in around 5pm. It wasn't packed at the time either, which may have been related to the cold weather. We were greeted and invited to choose the table of our preference. I'd have to say that the staff was nice, but not quite warm and friendly, which is fine with me as long as they don't take forever to take my order and they get it correct. Since everything was so reasonably priced, I think we may have ordered a bit much - there was so much food!! And it came out rather quickly. We didn't even get halfway through the appetizers before our entrees came out and we were hard pressed for space at our small table. Beverages - a pot of blooming tea $5 Appetizers - Korean wings $8; kimchi cheese fries $5 Entrees - galbi burrito $8; BBQ rice platter with galbi and sesame chicken $10 The tea was nice for a very cold day - no sugar necessary, which was great. Both appetizers were quite tasty and had I known better, I think I would have stopped there with my order because the wings and fries alone were generous portions. I do wish that the wings had actually been spicy, as the menu states them as being so. I had the burrito and I thought it was okay. There was very little meat in it and so it tasted like kimchi flavored rice in a wrap. I didn't finish my meal. My boyfriend enjoyed his BBQ rice platter. He said the chicken and beef were both tasty and he cleaned his plate :-) Overall, we were happy with the meal, but I don't know if our experience was enough to have us return.

Vegetarian food at Kraveri = love. Their fries are soooo delicious. The crepes, bibimbowl and the wraps are great too. The sweet crepes are really great too. The staff is super nice and friendly and remember their regular clients. We love Kraverie.

Listen, as a straight up crepes place, this place is okay. And, as a straight up Americanized Korean fast food place (the bibimbap, the jahpchae noodles), this place is also okay (maybe borderline below average actually, if you consider that you're only 20 minute PATH train ride to Koreatown). But, unlike other JC peers (I'm looking at you Wild Fusion), the combination of cuisines at this place is more than the sum of its parts. Seoul cheesecake - win. Kimchidilla - win. Kimchi cheese fries - so much win. Korean nachos - win. Who cares if this place is really just milking the kimchi+cheese+(maybe) meat flavor pairing in all of these dishes? When you have a hammer, everything in the world is nails. Keep hammering that taste in all of your dishes, :)

We randomly yelped to this restaurant after finding ourselves really hungry in the Liberty State Park. First, I have to compliment this restaurant on the concept. What a great idea to combine Korean and Mexican food! Both cuisines, although geographically distant, share their love for spices, and perfectly complement each other with the cheese from Mexico and the kimchi from Korea. As far as the food goes, I'll give it a 4 out 5. Yes, the kimchi-cheese fries are a must here. I love kimchi fried rice, but here it was not perfect. I would've liked a little more bacon and more salt in mine. My friends had the Kimchidilla and the Seoul Cheesesteak, both of which were great by their reports. I also tried the cheesecake crepe and it was simply amazing! Again, that's a great concept.

Since it was my first time here, to be on the safe sideI ordered the BBQ rice platter with choices of 2 meat & I was definitely not disappointed. I heard a lot of great reviews about the kimchi fries & without a doubt, that was to die for. The staffs are very friendly especially Charles (I think he's the owner). My friend is a picky eater & when she ordered the clear noodle bowl (forgot the name), she didn't like the texture & barely touch her food. Spoke to Charles & he didn't hesitate to exchange her meal for something else. Personally, I thought her food was good but hey to each their own. The prices are fair, will definitely come back again.

How can Korean and Mexican fusion be bad? I had the bulgogi burrito at Kraverie. It was delicious, the beef was super tender. I don't know how I feel about having cheese with kimchi though. The menu looks awesome, I can't wait to come back and try everything, especially the tacos. The decor was a little fancier than I'd imagined though. General aside: I've not had a bad meal in Jersey City since I moved here almost 3 weeks ago. Culinary capital of NJ? I think so.

Korean crepes and bulgogi cheesesteaks!!! W.O.W. I love the food here. It was a last minute decision to try this place out and I'm so glad I did. The place is a little small. There is an outside seating area to enjoy your food on a nice sunny day. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. - The Kimchi fries are AMAZING!!! you have to try it!! - Bulgogi cheesesteak is BOMB!! get it as well. I promise you, you will not be disappointed with those 2 dishes. If you love Korean food as much as I do, your taste buds and your tummy will be happy with you for coming here.

Kraverie was such a pleasant dining experience - whoever came up with the idea of combining Korean and French is an absolute genius. It worked so well together! Very small cafe-type of atmosphere and a few small tables (some outdoor seating available in the warmer months too). Fizzy-Lizzy beverages are available and we chose their grapefruit and tangerine ones. Probably wouldn't order them again because they weren't sweet (more of a healthy fizzy drink), but that is in no fault of Kraverie. They're well-known for their kimchi cheese fries so we had to put in an order of those. The first few bites were very savory, but each bite after that was not so full of flavor. Perhaps I was just getting really full by that point, but it was not as satisfying as the first few bites. My recommendation would be to get this as a shared appetizer for the entire table because too much of a good thing can be bad. For our entree, we shared Lidia's fish tacos --- a MUST order. These are by far the best fish tacos I have ever had and the portions are not small either. They just taste great, simply said. I was quite full, but somehow, my stomach likes to make room for dessert. We chose the tiramisu crepe after speaking to our server (who may have also been the owner since she was running everything) and it was just heaven taking each delicious bite. Kraverie is good for just about any meal, but I think brunch is where I envision myself coming back again (or perhaps a dinner date). Pricing was awesome - had a bunch of food and left paying $30 (including tax & 20% tip).

This place calls itself a Korean creperie, which didn't make a whole lot of sense to me but the food was pretty good. Two of us went here on a Tuesday and sat outside. We were the only customers at 6:30 and only one other party of two sat down by the time we left around 7:30. My roommate ordered the Bibimbap, which was a little plain but he added some Korean hot sauce to spice it up. I went with the BBQ rice platter which was pretty good, although I found it rather disappointing that French fries, potato salad or garden salad are offered as a side. I was hoping for something less American and more inventive. The tiramisu crepe with nutella, strawberry and ice cream was delicious and probably the best part of the meal. Perhaps this place should just stick to the crepes and do away with the Korean entrees with American sides. Overall, friendly staff and very cheap prices. The two of us ordered everything I described above for $27.

Ordered kimchi cheese fries, bacon fried rice, side of potato salad and the nachos. Kimchi cheese fries and potato salad was very tasty. The other dishes were good. Service was excellent. Place is clean and relaxed atmosphere, good for talking. Would come back again for a change of pace, something different.

Food is ok I don't think it a good mix. I went there a few times with a friend. If you take Korean food alone it good same thing with the crépes. I did not enjoyed the mix of them both. For crépes there a better place in Jersey City. The staff don't know how to make a latté and I received mine with over steam milk with a over rost expresso. On a side note every time there was a confusion or mixup in the order. I only will go back there if I am drag in.

I've been a BIG fan and weekly to bi-weekly patron of Kraverie for some time, and can't believe I NEVER submitted a review before! In light of the recent tragedy that has befallen this establishment, I feel it's the least I can do, in addition to making a donation to help proprietor Christian and husband of Natasha-with-the-sweet-face-that-always-welcomed-me whenever I entered the restaurant. The Kimchi Cheese Fries - Genius. That is all. The Vegetarian crêpe - So tasty and herbacious (is that a word? It's got basil pesto, is what I mean, and it's really flavorful.) Bibimbop - Love it! Add whatever meat toppings you like or eat it with just an egg... It's delicious, healthy and light. The Sweet Crêpes - You can't go wrong with any of them, but the Cheesecake (which also has nutella, strawberries and graham crackers) crêpe and the Dulce de leche, Bananas, Walnut crêpe are my absolute favorites. These are hands-down, THE BEST DESSERT CRÊPES IN JERSEY CITY, and that's saying something coming from a Francophile like me who LOVES a certain French bistro off of Newark Ave. Although food and service are wonderful, I'm omitting one star, only because the restaurant sometimes gets a little smokey, and you end up spending the rest of the day smelling the food in your hair and clothes. I don't know if I'm allowed to post this, but here's a link for Kraverie fans who want to give Christian a helping hand under these awful circumstances. youcaring.com/medical-fu…

I have been meaning to come to this place for sometime so I decided to amble in one sunny Saturday afternoon. Since I was alone, I decided to take a seat at the bar but found myself uncomfortable due to the lack of depth of the bar. After graciously relocating me, I ordered the kimchi fries and the cheesesteak. The food came in a timely fashion. The fries were good, reminiscent of spicy mayo fries. The cheesesteak was great; meat, kimchi and perfect toasted bread played off one another. A little greasy but I managed. :) The ambience is of a rustic families dining room - with booths. Probably not good for large groups of people. The restroom is clean though the tables are a little sticky. Water service/waiter check ins were not consistent. Many patrons had to ask for refills. I will be back to try the crepes!

Korean fusion!? DELICIOUS. Kim chee cheese fries?! WHAAAAT? Definitely don't have this anywhere on the West Coast. These fries are to DIE FOR. I can't get enough. I had two orders of the fries within ONE WEEK. #fattylife The bibimbap is very yummy! As is their japchae noodles. I want to try EVERYTHING on their Korean food menu. They also have savory and dessert crepes that I haven't tried yet. My first priority is trying all the Korean food. Always with an order of Kim Chee Cheese Fries! :D

I'm a big fan of the Kraverie. This will be the most accurate review you will read on the Kraverie since I've been here probably more than most anyone else. First the negative, here are three reasons why I give 4 and not 5 stars: 1.The dining room is overcrowded and the tables and chairs are too close together. 2. When busy, it's not uncommon in this small restaurant to wait 45 minutes for food to be served. 3. The front cover of the webpage used to have a picture of me eating. I just checked and much to my disappointment it was taken down. I will have to speak with Natasha about this issue which could threaten the very fabric of the Kraverie's business. :) Basically, if you have time on your hands and don't mind a stuffy place packed with a mostly younger crowd then I will be making an argument that this is the place for you! Why? You may ask. This place is a female owned korean fusion joint. For a restaurant in downtown Jersey City the prices are quite reasonable especially considering it is fusion which seems to be the 'hip' thing these days. Entrees run about $12 if you choose to get a meat option. I've had friends who have gotten the Seoul cheese steak and rave about it. It's basically a cheese steak with Kimchi (Korea's most popular appetizer)...Korea meets Philadelphia! I get more traditional Korean. I prefer the Bibimbap with a kimchi appetizer. I've worked as a chef for roughly 10 years and can really appreciate both flavorful and aesthetically appealing dishes. Bibimbap is both. It is the Ratatouille of Asia! Arguably, the most popular Korean dish. Basically it is a beautiful, aesthetically appealing medley of vegetables (always different vegetables depending on the restaurant or home) each marinated in their own unique marinade ahead of time and ideally served over white sushi rice. Mixed in or on top of the vegetables is either beef, chicken, or tofu. I prefer the succulent pieces of chicken at the Kraverie. Finally, on top of all that you will find my favorite part of the dish; a fried sunny side up egg. This dish is awesome. I always add the sweet chili sauce they provide with this meal. Though, I also add Sriracha sauce to the dish because the chili sauce is not spicy enough for me. What impresses me most about this dish is that each vegetable has it's own unique spice and marinade! As a chef I made this dish once before and it's very labor intensive. I remember reading that Bibimbap was discovered in the 13th century by royal chefs attempting to put together something beautiful under less than ideal conditions for a their King on the run from Mongolian invaders! So essentially so far my argument for Kraverie has been food and price. If I may add one last reason. For anyone that appreciates one who has to work hard for what they've got here's how the Kraverie got it's start. The owner of the Kraverie is a friend of mine. She's a Russian immigrant named Natasha (though some say she looks Asian). The business actually began years ago as a food truck with a slightly more limited menu. Natasha operated the food truck day and night. Over many years of serving clientele street side she finally had made enough money to open a small restaurant. This is the restaurant you see today. Natasha, in the spirit of her hard work ethic, still works there today. And I believe at least one day a week the food truck still operates as well.

I got a living social coupon for this place. I had been puzzled by it for awhile. I mean really, crepes and korean food? When I finally decided to come here, I was pleasantly surprised. I had been meaning to make my way to Kraverie for some time. And it lived up to its expectations. Kraverie is, at heart, a tiny French cafe serving crepes...and Korean specialties. The combination of flavours is sublime (particularly in the signature Korean crepe, a mix of jack cheese, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and your choice of meat [all Korean standbys: bulgogi, galbi, sesame chicken, grilled pork] served on a scallion-kimchi crepe). They seem to do traditional French crepes just as well and the kimchi is fresh and plenty spicy. In addition to the crepes, Korean dishes like japchae, bimbimbap, and fried rice share menu space with Korean-fusion soul food (tacos, cheesesteak, burritos, a "kimchidilla") which feature the same choice of meats. A bit pricey, but worth the experience. As a bonus, they do a fantastic iced Earl Grey tea and have a selection of Fizzy Lizzy craft sodas.

Nice little find in Jersey City. The prices are reasonable. I tried the BBQ Rice Platters with sesame chicken and galbi short rib with a side of potato salad. The portions were a bit small, but delicious. The wings were just.. YUMMY. After that we tried the tiramisu. I wasn't a fan. Eh. It was okayish. Oh and you should definitely try the blooming tea. :)

I am so in love with Kraverie. When the Lucinda burrito truck moved on, I was sad. When they came back as the Lucinda crepe cart, I was happy again. Then, I started seeing the neon green Krave truck around the same territory, and that was fun too. And then they vanished and I was sad again. But LO! The good food lord came down, and spoke unto his people, and he said: two of the neighborhood's favorite street food vendors have combined efforts to open a storefront! And all was right with the world. You'll find a split menu here - left side korean joy, right side varied sweet and savory crepes. The fruit of the union is right at the bottom center - the Korean crepe. It's delicious. I personally have a weakness for the Seoul cheesesteak, it's everything I want in the world, but I'd send first timers to try the Korean crepe. Well, that, and one of everything else on the menu, too. Bring some friends and try it all. I've never been disappointed. Important note: BYOB, so snag a six pack on the way.

Nothing to fault. Delicious food, friendly service, BYO with no corkage fee, busy yet chilled atmosphere. Just fantastic. I had the noodle bowl with ribeye. The meat was flavoured and cooked wonderfully and enough noodles to take some home. I also think the nutella, tiramisu and strawberry crepe is one of my all time favourite desserts and I love my desserts! I am reviewing straight after getting home. I will be going back again and again, you should too.

The food is simple and the servers are attentive. The place is very small, so I wouldn't recommend it for large groups. I've had the Bimbimbop with sesame chicken ($10) which is pretty good. The sesame chicken itself is on the sweet side, but their spicy sauce can cut through it, and it is very good with rice and fried egg. My biggest (though relatively small) gripe: I ordered Korean Tacos with sesame chicken ($8). Knowing how sweet the chicken was, I asked for spicy sauce. Unfortunately, they mixed up my order with my friend's (who ordered the same thing, sans spicy sauce) and we didn't realize the mistake until literally the last bite. In effect, I ate some terribly sweet chicken tacos while my friend suffered through all the spice (and she detests spicy food!) It looked pretty on the plate but I think i would've enjoyed it much more with spicy sauce. How unfortunate. As for dessert, I've had the S'mores Crepe twice - once with ice cream and once without. GET IT WITH ICE CREAM! It's just better that way. The prices are alright overall. This is probably the only sit-down place downtown that actually sells Coke for $1.

It is possible that I went to this restaurant with overly high expectations because of the rave review my friend gave it, and some of the other reviews on Yelp. While I think the idea behind this restaurant is original and the menu items are creative, I didn't think my food was stellar. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely and it's in a great location near the Grove Street Path station. I went on a Friday night around 7:30 or 8pm, and the restaurant had several empty tables. Seating was no problem. It started to get busier as my friend and I were finishing up, but still - people weren't breaking down the doors or anything. My friend and I both ordered the Seoul Cheesesteak. It was definitely passable, but I thought it sounded better than it actually was. The meat was not that flavorful, and all I tasted was the kimchi. I love kimchi, so it was fine by me, but I was expecting a better sandwich overall. That said - the Kimchi Cheese Fries are really somethin'. Make sure you order those! And, the resto is BYO. Enjoy!

Kim Chi Fries are AMAZING!!!! That's all I gotta say. OK, maybe I have a little more to say. Decor: no frills. cozy. Think old school bar meets grandma's house. Food: everything was fresh and delicious, especially the spicy pork, which actually wasn't spicy at all but rather sweet. Even their plain white rice somehow tasted more delicious than I could have imagined. Service: the waiter wasn't overly friendly but did give a solid recommendation

Oh my goodness the Korean Crepe is good!! I had mine with the sesame chicken. I love how crepes are filling but they don't feel heavy in your stomach. I also shared an order of the cheesy kimchi fries. Kraverie, I'm a fan of your originality! The lunch menu is a great deal. Most meals are around $8 and come with a choice of either a side salad or fries. The space is bright and the service was friendly. Next time I'm coming back for dessert and some tea! P.S. it's BYOB.

So good lah~ order'd the kimchi fries and it was... Wait for it... AMAZEBALLS! Who knew kimchi + fries +cheese would be amazing. Who knew! (the owners thats who!) Tried the bibimbap like a normal korean dish Next was the crepes! Ordered the cheesecake but since i wasnt fond of strawberries (please dont judge me) i requested it to be change to bananas! Thanks ms waiter! Though when we ask for napkins you gave us just one and we were 3 at the table lol. But no worries i'll be back with my own napkins. Ohhh just one thing i wish you had cold coffee based drinks. But thats just me. :)

Ok seriously this place is one of a kind awesome. The savory Korean flavor infused with international cuisine. Take the kimchi cheese fries for example. This brilliant marriage of Kimchi, American cheese and French fries is international comfort food defined. Very reasonably priced and excellent service from our lovely Algerian waitress make this one of my favorite new place to dine.

Is it one star or 4? First visit this summer, with Nephew in tow - a 4. Interesting, surprising and great food value. But more recently, for delivery? Worst. Ever. To be fair, the overwhelmed staff and manager took my call when the delivery hadn't been made an hour and fifteen minutes after I made the order . . . and then the manager called back another 30 minutes to say they were tossing in a free crepe with strawberries and chocolate. Which would have been ok - except even that freebie plus my original order didn't arrive for another half hour. And then? Well, kimchee on french fries is great all piping hot - but not so much when it's been sitting on a counter top waiting for the delivery person to show up and deliver the meal. Yep, the manager threw them under the bus: Delivery.com Meh.

Wonderful food and Staff! A great Korean Fusion. I loved the Crapes and I loved the Korean BBQ together is a heavenly combo. The Kim-chi Cheese Fries are to die for.

Have you ever had two friends, both of whom you really liked, and when they finally start dating, you think, "Wow, why didn't I think of that? I could have set them up ages ago. What a perfect couple. Two of my favorite people, together!" That's how I feel about the marriage of two of my favorite truck cuisines - the Krave Korean BBQ truck and the Lucinda's Creperie Cart, each a downtown JC staple for years now. Together, they're even better. You can get a crepe filled with delicious bbq, what a great idea. I've eaten at Kraverie and had takeout and both have been excellent. My favorite menu items are the Korean Crepe and the Seoul Cheesesteak. I also really like that they're open late for take-out until 10 p.m. Great way to reward yourself for working late. On a weekend morning, the tiny restaurant gets a little crowded but the atmosphere is relaxing, the front window floods the room with sunlight and it's nice to split a sweet crepe for dessert after brunch.

How long is this wait! Still waiting on appetizers 30 mins after arriving. Okay, so maybe I'm cranky pants because I've had a few cocktails at LITM and I'm hungry. It's a Thursday night around 8:30 when we arrive and it's crowded.Plus there are walk-ins almost out the door. There is one really friendly waitress and one busboy trying to handle the dinner rush so I need to chill and put away my New Yorker douchiness but the table next to me is having the wings we ordered too and they look amazing. I make small talk and attempt to stop drooling on the patron next to me, fortunately she's friendly, and anxiously stare at the kitchen door anticipating my wings. They finally arrive and man are they worth the wait! Moist, flavorful, just plain delish. My hubby's turkey and ham crepe comes out minutes after we get our wings which means more wings for me so I'm cool. Except, it's not his turkey crepe. Okay. So it goes back which is okay because I still haven't gotten my dish. Turns out he had my Korean crepe so they had to make me a fresh one. Soooo, ten more minutes while he gets his turkey and twenty more while I get my Korean one. Yup, crazy long wait so why four stars? Because the food was realllllly good. And inexpensive. Large crepes, kickin' wings. We didn't even get to dessert we were so full. They clearly have a lot of kinks to work out. They are not prepared for their popularity. Understaffed all the way around and what there is is Ill prepared. But did I mention the food was really good? Yeah I will return and probably often but I am going to make sure its at off hours and I'm hopefully going to watch them get their act together, all the while noshing on some more of those wings, maybe a double order of 'em.

Great little gem. I had the noodles with sesame chicken and it was so unique and tasty. And the kimchi fries are the business! You must order those. The crepes were delicious and its BYOB!

In the Jersey City right by my job are a few pretty decent places to eat (Tacqueria Downtown, Grand Sichuan to name a couple), but just as I've been getting kinda tired of the same ol' here comes Kraverie! The mix is of the local Korean BBQ food truck and another local French crepe truck to make a one stop shop of both their menu's (and a fusion for some new items as well). Now before I go further I will say that I have NEVER had Korean food before, therefore I have no reference point on authenticity... but that's the beauty of Yelp, you have other reviews to peruse. I came with a group of 4 total. We each had something different. No one complained and said the food was bad. I had the Seoul Cheesteak sandwich which was pretty darn good (though I will say that it's not as good as the Asian steak sandwich around the corner at Beechwood Cafe, but it's a better price!) especially with Sriachia added! MMmmm-good! My companions had Korean tacos, vegetarian crepe and some Bibimhap (can't recall the spelling, some rice dish with veggies, meat and a fried egg). Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes. The only complaint came from my coworker who got the rice dish. He says that dish at a more authentic spot would be served in an iron bowl/pot where the rice sizzles and has some crunchy bits. But he still liked the flavor. We also shared the Kimchi-Cheese fries which were also very tasty (one coworker commented that they should've just called them Kimcheese Fries - just sayin'). For dessert we shared 1 crepe (we're in the neighborhood, we can have lunch any time!) and went for the Tiramisu crepe which was delish! So overall, I'm a fan. And I will be back. I've got my eye on a couple of other dishes I'd like to try so I'll do another updated review after a couple more trips!

Just like the first time I saw the Krave Truck parked outside of the Grove Street PATH station, my first glimpse of the Kraverie made me do a little jump (in my head, of course.) I'm always excited at the prospect of a new restaurant and am usually full of hope that it will exceed my expectations. When I passed by on Wednesday, I went in and checked out the menu. I knew I'd be back in a couple of days and I didn't want to waste any time. I took the paper menu home and studied it for a little bit. The menu is half korean/mexican fast food and half savory and sweet crepes, with one married item - the Korean Crepe. I think someone posted a photo the menu so I'm not going to go into the details. I've had the Krave Truck a couple of times, and have tried everything that they had to offer. They brought over some of the same items, like korean tacos, kimchidilla, korean burrito, and the bbq rice platter. Each one can be filled with a choice of 4 meats: spicy pork, bulgogi ribeye, galbi short rib, and sesame chicken. If anyone read my Krave Truck review, they would know that while I liked the truck and loved the smell of Korean BBQ on my way home from the Grove Street PATH station, I thought their food left a little bit to be desired. My favorites on the menu are the kimchidilla, the tacos, and their burgers. I always thought their bbq rice platter could have soft, hotter, fresher rice, and the meats by themselves, could be more tender, more flavorful, and less salty. So when I went to the Kraverie, I really wanted to see if they improved on their menu now that they have access to a full fledged kitchen. We tried the spicy pork kimchidilla ( should have been ribeye, but they gave us the wrong order, but we didn't really care ), the combo platter with spicy pork and bulgogi, and to throw something new into the mix, the korean chicken wings. After trying the food, I am still a fan of the Kimchidilla. You just really can't go wrong with spicy pork, melted cheese, and kimchee wrapped in a tortilla with sour cream on top. Unfortunately, the bbq rice platter was exactly the same as if it was made from a truck! The rice was cold and not fresh, and the meats were dry and over salted. Seriously, Kraverie? You have a real kitchen, you should challenge yourself to serve better meat than this. While you work on that, maybe invest in a rice cooker with induction heating, that way you are guaranteed to have fresh rice at all times. It is a one time cost that I'm sure will benefit you greatly in the long run. What really did impress me though, were the Korean Chicken Wings. The wings came out smoking hot, the skin was crispy, and the meat was tender. The korean hot sauce that they marinated the chicken wings in had a nice kick. Other than the food, I had a couple of qualms about the place itself. I really wanted to have a nice, relaxing dinner, but I found that really difficult because the place was really packed. I felt like I could hear everyone's conversation and everyone was listening to mine. A lot of people wanted to try the Kreperie that night, and there was a line out the door, but no real place to wait, so those people were staring hungrily at our food and silently wishing us to eat faster, which also did not add to the experience. But most of all, the worst part about the Kreperie is the ventilation. I want to eat bulgogi ribeye, I don't want to smell like bulgogi ribeye from head to toe. Even in a Korean restaurant with good circulation, sometimes you will leave smelling a little bit like grilled meat, so why would the Kraverie think it's okay for them to not have any? I was in the restaurant for a while, and expected to have some lingering smell, but it was so strong, I had to wash all my clothes right away and take a shower. I kid you not. I probably won't dine in again at the Kraverie until they fix the ventilation. No offense, but I did feel like the take out orders were prioritized over the dine in patrons any way, so I'll probably order my Korean Chicken Wings to go next time. That being said, I'm glad there is a Korean restaurant in the neighborhood now and I encourage people to go check it out for themselves! I look forward to reading your reviews!

I've been here twice and both times was much less to be desired. I felt as though everything was lacking except the portions. The taste and the amount of meat and veggies were just sub-par. The most I got out of every dish was rice. Even the burrito was stuffed with rice. The skin itself was already thick on the burrito. The dumplings were just dumplings, nothing special and the bibimbap was very disappointing. Lots of rice, not enough sauce, and where the heck was the meat? I always choose bulgogi and it was completely lost in the dish, lacking in flavor and quantity. The kimchilla or whatever it's called (the quesadilla) was a bit of a joke. Where the heck was the kimchi? We ended up just eating the inside of the quesadilla. Not enough filling and way too much tortilla. The korean crepe was ... barely reminiscent of Korean food. Where's the spice and flavor? I just got mushroom and meat. The best dishes I had at this place were the kimchi fries and the sweet crepes. 2 fool proof dishes, fries and crepes. Come on guys, don't skimp out on flavor, I had high hopes for this place. Now, we just avoid coming here for anything but the crepes.

I decided to let this place introduce me to the Korean taco craze. It is such a great place, great tasty fusion dishes that I would of never of thought of blending myself. Not only do they do the whole Korean/tex-mexican thing but they also blend a little French into the mix with their yummy crepes. The kimichi fries and wings are delish. The wings had a great crispyness to it on the outside and were hot fresh and juicy on the inside. I also really enjoyed the Korean crepe, the short ribs went really well with the mushrooms and other fillings. Though after eating the kimchi fries, we wished the korean crepe came with a different side other than fries. The tacos were good though I wish they were a teeny bit spicier. Perhaps add some hot sauce to the table for people who want more heat? Either way my belly was very happy after this meal. And it is such a cute and cozy place! Very inviting. You could tell that they really care about presentation here, to both the decor and the food. After a confusion about our order with our waiter, the manager or owner was very nice to us and helped to solve the issue. Oh and the prices are all very inexpensive. I am impressed. I will definitely be back.

Hm, so I've been here twice and I looooooove this little place. Staff is friendly and attentive. I eat like a pig every time. The chicken wings are crunchy, sweet, spicy and lightly sauced. Pork and leek dumplings are fresh and tasty. The Korean BBQ platter is great. I like the beef and chicken choices, but the pork is not my thing. Japchae noodles with ribeye are hot, steamy and have lots of veggies and steak. Last but certainly not least, the Nutella crepe is deeeeeelish. I always inhale one, even though I'm not a dessert person. This place is BYOB, so it makes your bill inexpensive. Street parking usually pretty accessible.

Ordered the Kimchi-cheese fries, Seoul Cheesesteak, Korean crepe with spicy pork, and tiramisu crepe. Kimchi-cheese fries- Tasted just as great as it sounds. A bit of kimchi and a bit cheesy, neither of them overwhelming each other. The fries were golden and crunchy. Seoul Cheesesteak - Ordered it with bulgogi; the meat was flavorful and tender and the spicy mayo added a nice small kick to it. Korean crepe - The crepe wrap itself tasted of scallion, kimchi, and garlic, and the spicy pork was flavorful though not spicy at all. It also contained mushrooms, Monterey jack cheese, and some other things I don't remember, but it was a good flavorful combination in which all the ingredients were tasted. Tiramisu crepe - DELICIOUS. Tiramisu filling mixed with nutella and strawberries, with two scoops of fluffy vanilla ice cream. Best part of the meal. Prices were very affordable (below $10) and the space was cozy with just enough seating. Staff was friendly as well. Would totally recommend trying this place!

Back again to give this place another shot, this time because I wanted to sit outside and they looked like they had a nice quiet table for us on the sidewalk. Food is again pretty solid. Got the kimchi cheese fries and bibimbap with bulgogi beef. Service was a bit better than before, our waters were filled up pretty regularly. This place is also very good value with dinner for two including tip coming to $30. My overall rating stays the same based on some of the less pleasant experiences I've had here, however I will probably be back due to the good value and dependable food.

I think Kraverie might start stealing people from Beechwood. What a great addition to the neighborhood! Great brunch, good service, sweet crepes are fantastic. I am not big on savory crepes, but I am too adventurous not to try them. However, dumplings were way fried, and I would like more drink options, like a pot of tea or something. I like the creativity and menu choices Kravery brings. Every time I am here, I want to order everything on the menu. I will be back!

Kimchi fries were delicious! Crepes were really good, too. I had only had sweet crepes from the truck before this visit, and I had my first savory crepe. I tried my bf's Japchae noodles and I liked them quite a bit. Substitution requests were not really welcomed (I tried to combine the chicken florentine crepe and the veg crepe bc I wanted the protein from the chicken but with the veggie dressing bc I don't love pesto; also, another customer asked to pay the difference in fry prices and upgrade her side of fries to kimchi fries, but she was told that the cook didn't allow it). Overall, the food was tasty and the cozy, cute, cafe surroundings were pleasant, so it was a nice brunch. If they get really busy, though, I don't know what wait times will be like because it was pretty tiny in there.

Walked in on a Friday night looking for a quick and easy dinner of barbecued spicy pork and beef and came away torn about how to rate this place. Yes, I know that this is the love child of the Krave Truck and Lucinda's Creperie, but the Krave Truck is just.... better. Let's talk food first. My wife and I ordered the beef kimchidilla, an order of Korean wings, and the rice platter (of course with spicy pork and rib eye). About the rice platter... the flavoring of the meat was pretty top notch, but if you're serving Korean bbq meat, that should be a standard. The rice itself was a bit on the lukewarm side and seemed like it had been sitting out there for a while. And, not to pile it on, there need's to be some more meat... I'm a horizontally growing boy! The wings, they're good enough to be something I would definitely order if I sit down and eat there. In terms of the place itself... it can get busy fast. It's a relatively small place to begin with, probably only 10 two-seaters. It's not a place to really have a serious conversation because you're literally sitting 2 ft away from your fellow diners. So loud people, don't talk about your salary, your snobby friends, or your normally private matters. I'll be able to hear every word of it. And then type about it here. The only other thing to mention is DO NOT wear expensive clothes here. The place is very... aromatic, which is great to get your saliva going... but terrible for when you walk out. You'd smell as if you had manned the grill all day. Service is friendly, but they need another person up front. There's just one person to take phone orders, settle your bill, set up tables, bring your drinks. It's no wonder that we ended up with a pork kimchidilla instead of a beef one. But kudos to the lady, she takes it in stride and doesn't get too flustered. I wouldn't be able to do what she does. So, anyone as torn about this place as I am? Would I go back? Probably. Would I make it my go to place? Probably not. Is the food good? Yep. Is the food better than the other options in the area? I'd go with Chego... so I can eat in the comfort of my own home and not smell of bbq afterwards.

Love! Non pretentious, delicious and creative food! Got the kimchi fries, dolce de leche coffee and kimchi bacon fried rice with hubby for an easy breakfast. Came out fast and amazing! Will def be back to try the rest of the menu! The counter girl (Natasha?) is also very friendly and nice! Checked in on us and was attentive even though they were super busy!

Very delicious combination of Korean and French and American. The portions are on the smaller side but the price kind of reflects that. The nachos were overly fried but the bulgogi went really well with them. Service was good but could have been a little more attentive especially since it's such a small place. Make sure to note their hours. They close at 6 on Sundays.

Decent service, ok menu. Nothing spectacular, but if you're in the neighborhood, it's worth checking out...even if it might be the first and last time! The kimchi cheese fries were tasty. I got the "seoul cheesesteak" and that was yummy. My friend got the rice platters and he said it was good. Everything tastes fine, but just no wow factor. Oh, and we also got the "cheesecake crepe"... that was meh, so i dont recommend ordering that. Try another dessert crepe and let me know how it is!

Updated to a solid 4!! Went with my childhood gal pal, her husband, and my husband, who was mad at me for my earlier review of 3 stars. We ordered the dumplings, which were fried to crispy perfection and came with a decent soy dipping sauce; the Korean crepe; the Korean tacos (short rib and 2 chicken); and two Kalbi rice plates. All entrees were excellent! My Kalbi rice plate was enormous, and the meat was seasoned very well - it's definitely fusion so a little sweeter and not as garlicky as you would find in K-town, but excellent all the same. My friend loved her Korean crepe, and my husband, ironically, seemed the least satisfied this time with his tacos. He said the Krave truck's tacos were better. We got the cheesecake crepe and the tiramisu crepe for dessert. Both were so good...and innovative, too! Do not miss the dessert crepes!!! Even though this place is called Kraverie...don't forgot about the creperie part! It's just as good, if not better, than the Krave part!

I came here one evening with a friend. I don't love Korean food in general, but I've been meaning to come here because I'm always interested by fusion places. We got the Seoul Cheesesteak and the Korean Crepe; both were pretty good. Service was quick and friendly, even though we were the only ones sitting outside (always a risky move). Portions match the price - I wouldn't come here super hungry - but the food was fresh and good.

Still great: quick delivery, hot food, consistent flavors. Only thing I would recommend is tweaking the kimchi fried rice. It's comforting and good, I just feel like it's missing something. Maybe sweetness? Also, I personally would like the bacon chopped smaller and a little more well done but I know it's a personal preference. Still love you guys, though, and recommend you all the time!

I think it's overrated. maybe because this is the only korean style restaurant in Jersey city....

  • Emily N.

This place is literally the most amazing Downtown Jersey City idea, well executed: two food carts drove into each other, crashed in the air, mixed up their menus together, and landed as one on Mercer Street. And not just any run of the mill food carts, either. The Krave Truck and Lucinda's Creperie have teamed up and replaced what used to be Ria's next to the Smoke Shop behind Beechwood Cafe with a menu that is half Krave Truck specialties, and half sweet or savory crepes. The food is so good, I don't take any points off for the fact that service was incredibly slow. Its obvious they are getting their act together and I am happy to support them while they do that. That being said, we waited probably 30 minutes for our food and one of our party members had to leave to take care of something, because we didn't realize it would take so long just to order and everything. I ordered my favorite: Kimchiadilla, while my sisters got the noodles (oodles of flavor, I wish I'd chosen these), kimchi and dumplings. Everything was sweet, spicy and delicious. I am not kidding when I say that when the food came we basically forgot how long it took to receive it. I think the charm here is that the food is simple, unique, and you can't find it in the neighborhood in this combination of spicy Korean-Mexican with all these amazing crepes available alongside. Winning formula!! What I love is that they are still charging food truck prices, so maybe that is what eases the tension. $5 - $7 will get you a decent bite! We also liked the Jasmine tea. Because of our time crunch, we asked for the tiramisu crepe to go and received quick response on that from the staff. We split this at home and it traveled well. Dangerous for anyone on a diet on their way home from the PATH. My sister has a love of South Korea and visits friends there every once in awhile and she said of our meal, "Finally found kimchi that rivals the real thing!" (Granted this is from a western/tourist perspective.) Whenever I think about Kraverie, my heart skips a beat. Can't wait to go back soon.

The truck food used to be really good. The crepes are good but the fusion one is not. The last few times the quality and taste hasn't been as good as I remembered.

  • Ryan N.

Amazing. One of the best places I've ever been to. Who knew kimchi tasted good on everything? Had 4 or 5 of the dishes and they were all amazing. My favorites though were the cheese steak and kimchi cheese fries; they absolutely blew my mind.

  • Nonya B.

You must get the kimchi cheese fries! So delicious. However, my vegetarian crepe was pretty bland. It tasted like any vegetable wrap. The Nutella Madness crepe was also unremarkable. There is a better local crepe place in the area that I would prefer for price and quality. My boyfriend enjoyed the Seoul cheesesteak. Ambiance was nice, but service was lacking. There was only one waitress. Probably wouldn't return due to limited vegetarian options, but I think the visit was worth the kimchi cheese fries.

  • Madhulika S.

I have to say this place was smaller than I expected but if the quality of the food is great then your establishment could be the size of a college dorm room and I would still eat there. Thankfully both the crepes I ordered were delicious and for the price & portion size you can't ask for much more. The pesto was the star of the vegetarian crepe and I gobbled that up. The tiramisu crepe is to die for! I would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Recommend!

So glad we returned! We came to eat in and I had the bimbibap, which was really good, but I think I raved about the food before! What makes this place even better is the service. I met the owner, who was really sweet. They didn't have kimchi cheese fries again, so I was bummed out. When I jokingly mentioned not getting our take out kimchi cheese fries, the owner insisted that she take the $5 off our current tab. She was so sweet, we insisted not to, but she did anyway. So you know what we did? We put it back in the tip!! I came back here with my boyfriend and my sister today and we all got bimbibap bowls with different meats, and as usual, the food was great! Not surprised. We had their s'more crepe (since I was with my two big kids: my sister and boyfriend) and I wasn't disappointed. It was sooooo good! Love this place!

This place came highly recommended by a co worker who knows good eats, so I was very confident that my family and I would like it. And since fellow yelpers have nothing but good things to say about this place, I had no fear. So, to start with I ordered the blooming tea. Clear, dainty and comforting. Next came the Kimchi cheese fries. Unusual and yet, not. You just wanna keep putting it in your mouth. Pork and leek dumpling was a bit on the salty side and the dipping sauce, I thought needed a bit sweetness. My Korean tacos had the right flavour and though these tacos do not come with sauce, they are not dry. But the barbecue platter was the most savory. It reminds me of a typical Filipino breakfast we call "tapsilog". Desserts were smores and tiramusi crepes. Surprisingly, I found myself wanting the smores more but both plates were cleaned off. Another satisfying dinner out.

I ordered take out today and I can honestly say that this place lives up to its 4 star rating. We, my girlfriend and I, ordered the kimchi cheese fries, pork and leek dumplings, seoul cheesesteak, korean tacos, and a s'mores crepe. The dumplings were a little 'meh' but everything else was very tasty and left us both smiling and satisfied. The s'mores crepe is a must try for sure.

This place is great. The kimchi tacos (I get them with bulgogi) are so delicious. The wings and kimchi fries are fantastic also. Those are my favorites but the other dishes I've tried are also really good. They have a neat variety of sodas including grapefruit and cranberry. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the grove street area

I was not a fan of this place. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. The only thing I enjoyed was the Kimchi Fries. Everything else was mediocre. I had the bbq platter, bulgogi and something else. It just wasn't a memorable dish.

Love this place! We do takeout because it's really tiny inside. menu is very reasonably priced. Everything we've tried has been AMAZING- crispy dumplings, the cheesesteak, the Korean tacos (we've tried all the meat options-short rib & bulgogi was our fav), fried rice bowl & kimchi cheese fries

After seeing such great reviews on here, I thought I would give this place a try. My friend and I stopped by and ordered take out. It took a while for the food to be ready, which was okay. No problem because I think this means the food is made fresh to order. I ordered the BBQ Rice Platter with Chicken and Pork. Although the food tasted okay, the portion size was really really small for the price. My friend ordered the Bibimbap. He thought it was just okay and didn't really have good flavor that he's had with this dish at other Korean places. We were so disappointed by the food that we actually went back out to a place near us and ordered a few tacos to go to fill us up. I am wondering if the portion size would be better if I had eaten in the restaurant. The pictures of my dish definitely looked bigger from the pictures on here than what I got as a take out portion. Still, I would consider going back and trying their Crepes or something, but I will surely not be ordering take out from here again unless I am not very hungry.

I had to confirm how fresh-ta-def the food is in this spot, last night. Good gawd, its the ishness. I sat at the bar (its BYOB) and drank the pineapple fizz, re-sampled the wings, kimchi cheese fries and the ribeye, sesame chicken and short rib tacos...AND slammed the nutella, bananas and strawberries crepe. I slept like a newborn afterwards. Thanks Kraverie. Of Note: If you can get past the loud russian being spoken by the waitresses (this is a Korean joint?), the tacit asian justin bieber (with thin mustache) waiter and seeing skinny white hipster dudes and whack-lookin asian chicks on dates, def come here.

This is the place for lunch! Bimbimbap with beef? We have a date with destiny. Inexpensive and filling, I will take this over a ham and cheese sandwich any day of the week! Healthy doses of veggies complete with an egg and Korean beef (bulgogi) on top. What can I say that hasn't already been said. Delicious, filing and fast. I must say I had an out of body experience with the cheesecake crepe. I saw someone else order it and I was hooked. I have dreams about that crepe, heated, melty, gooey and sweet, with a hint of graham cracker crumb crust, mushed into a delicate freshly made crepe...Heaven! I would skip all main entrees just to get to this dessert. I can't wait to go back and try more things. Nobody knows how glad I am that these two food trucks gave birth to this restaurant...I may just have to move in!

Fast, friendly and fun dishes -- plus it's cheap. Liked their jap chae -- a little on the sweet side, but still good. Grilled sesame chicken was also good. Crepes were just okay, would definitely stick with the more korean entrees next time.

Small space, they won't sit you until your entire party's there. Food is delicious! I always get the Kim Chi Fries and Korean Crepe but I've had bites of my friends' food and I haven't had anything I wouldn't order again.

A best bet for Jersey City, Kraverie is a definite bargain. It's BYOB, and pretty much nothing on the menu tops $12, which is saying a lot for Jersey City. And the food is delicious. We always go for the Korean crepe, along with the two meat platter, Korean tacos or sometimes the special. Ordered the kimchee fries, too, once, but they were a bit too heavy for my taste. In any case, a yummy dinner for two and a toddler under $30.

SO GOOD!!! Kraverie is now one of my favorite restaurants anywhere! Some friends of ours live in Jersey City right up the street from here, and they said good things about it. So when another mutual friend of ours was making the big move to Cali, we decided to all get together and have a going away meal here. Kraverie is TINY, literally can seat maybe 15-20 people at a time, so be ready to wait. That being said, it's not exactly in a super busy/popular area, so wait times shouldn't be awful (we were a group of 6 and waited around 20-25 minutes). Regardless of the wait time, Kraverie is a MUST try. They are a French-Korean fusion restaurant.......yeah let that sink in for a second. French. Korean. Fusion. Lol, one of the craziest concepts I've ever heard of, but it all goes together incredibly well! Kraverie is BYOB, and their menu is decent sized but not overly extensive, so you have been warned. I'm OK with the amount of things on their menu, however, because clearly they excel at what they do and don't need to expand their options beyond reason. For the table, we all ordered the kimchi cheese fries, which you MUST HAVE if you make your way over here. Not only are the fries full of mouthwatering flavor (yes, fries this good can be mouthwatering), but they are also a great texture. For meals so far, I've ordered the bibimbap with the bulgogi ribeye and the Seoul Cheesesteak. The bibimbap was great, full of the variety of meat, veggies, and rice I've come to love in bibimbap. But unfortunately, they don't serve it in a hot pot (bibimbap lovers you know what I'm talking about), so it's great but not their best item. The cheesesteak, however, WAS INCREDIBLE. Seriously, nothing like a tradition cheesesteak from Philly, but delicious enough to compete with them (possibly even better than a traditional cheesesteak...yeah I know blasphemy, but it's that freaking good). Everything about the cheesesteak is amazing, so much so that I ate it down to the very last bite. Don't take my word for it, come to Kraverie and try it for yourself to see what I'm raving about. This place was so good that I made a vow to try every item on their menu at some point before I die lol.

French fries with kimchi and cheese - it sounds weird but so good Bibimbap - as good as you would get in ktown The BBQ meat plate - the meat was flavorful but it was hard distinguishing the pork from the beef Potato salad - Really freakin good S'mores crepe- Tastes just like a s'more! Cheesecake crepe-order it and thank me The servers are sweet, the food is good, generous portions, cute place, BYOB - there's no reason not to go.

Wow....just wow!!! I finally had the opportunity to come here with my boyfriend last night for his birthday. This place is so cute and has a very intimiate feel to it. The waitress was very helpful and attentive to us the whole time. We ordered the cheesecake crepe (we came here for dessert) which had cheesecake, nutella, graham crackers, and strawberry. The presentation was very nice, but the best part of this crepe, was tasting the first bite. It was divine!!! It was so yummy. Writing this makes me want to drive to Jersey City right now and grab this delicious creation. I can't wait to go back and try there food.

One of the times the Yelp reviews steered me right. The kimchi cheese fries are the way to go. I tend to stay away from Korean fusion foods, but this dish was right on the money. I even "krave" it from time to time (see what I did there). Service: friendly. It seemed like the staff seemed to make an effort to get to know the regulars, and they are super nice and caring. Atmosphere: small, casual place. Great for lunch. Food: besides the kimchi cheese fries, which you must get... I also got the Philly Cheesesteak, which is made with bulgogi. The bread is deliciously toasted, and the bulgogi is sligtly sweet, so I would recommend some kimchi or sriracha sauce. Still, it was pretty good, even as leftovers. If you haven't tried it, and you're in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend this joint.

I can't find myself giving 5 stars since it states "As good as it gets" which I will never believe since what is the point on trying other's? Ok! Straight to the point. Good food food the korean tacos are amazing I would recommend anyone to grab those first. It is kinda expensive but they make it up for the quality. Everything I've tried were very good so you won't be disappointed the dessert crepes were very good. Oh yeah let me change that their soda they have is not good it was served warm with ice sooo it dilutes the drink more.

This place has great dishes, small menu. Yummy flavor but my only cons are they are very stingy with the pork on platters and there is alot of fatty pieces in the pork, maybe to increase the illusion .... I choose pork because I think it taste the best out of their meat options. I didn't have the crepes but it looks good....

That's an initial visit 4 star rating. I wanted everything. Chose the bulgoki sticky rice kimchi burrito. Fantastic!!. Unique tasty twist on traditional Korean dishes. Will go again.

I was successful on my second attempt to go here. First time it was way too crowded and the place is small, so we left. Second time we went while it was snowing :) EMPTY! Me and my wife both ordered a Bibimbap, hers with ribs mines with spicy pork. Both items were delicious with two exceptions. 1. I was taken back that I wasn't served in a hot stone bowl. 2. My egg was fully cooked through (no runny yolk). Now I don't know about you but one of my favorite things to do is get a raw egg in the middle and crack that egg and let the silky yolk permeate every inch of my bowl, cooking as it hits the hot stone bowl. Ok so no hot stone bowl= hesitation to serve a raw egg, I get that. But at least a sunnyside up egg, throw me a bone here. The food was still delicious but oddly enough I was still hungry after I finished because the portion size isn't what I'm used to from a bibimbap. The dessert, oh lord jesus there's a fire!!! My wife ordered a Cheesecake crepe much to my dismay (diet reasons) and she chomped away on that crepe and I watched the utter pleasure emanating from her eyes with every bite. My will power folded and I picked up the fork and the cherubs flew through the front door and sang sweet songs of nothing while I .... ok I got a little carried away but it was so damn good. I soiled my britches. Overall good food, portions teetering on the smaller side, small dinning room with an amazing cream cheese crepe. Egg issue aside, this is a solid place to come to with BYOB. This review would have been a 3 if it wasn't for the dessert.

My new favorite restaurant, discovered by accident when restaurant around the corner was only serving brunch. The tacos are amazing. Our kids love the Nutella Banana Crepes. Best of all, they're on Seamless!

If you can get into this place physically.....the food is AWESOME! Service, AWESOME! They'll try to take reservations, but get in here and wait, the food....is AWESOME! Alright, let me edit in the awesomeness. This is a French/Korean fusion joint. Hot/cold crepes, Korean kimchee....nice mix. Prices are VERY reasonable, fast casual, and delicious. Want a dessert? Cold crepe...with Nutella. Want a meal? French fries with cheese and kimchee (it's an appetizer....WHAT?!?). This place is delicious, warm, great service, one block from Grove St PATH.....what more could you possibly want? Oh....they deliver!

I was a bit skeptical at first when my friend had asked me to join her for dinner here. However, I was pleasantly surprised ! The food is awesome! Love the fusion of korean/american/mexican. Plus, it BYOB, so definitely worth the try. The kimchi fries are great !

Delicious! I did a take out Korean Crepe(Spicy Pork) with fried for lunch. It was quick. The food is delicious and good portion. Spicy Pork is not that spicy but good(a little bit sweet). Fried is good as well. I will definitely go back there again to try Bibimbap and cheesecake crepes.

Been here a few times and tried something different every time. I will say that whenever I am in the area, I will try to convince anyone I am with to go. Small place, fast professional service, and good food. Definitely try the Kimchi fries I was kinda iffy about them. Flavor wise they are the bomb only problem I had with the fries were that they were just a tad bit soggy. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is cooked as described. Portions are just right. Items that stick out are the chicken florentine, Kimchidilla, and bbq platter.

Happened to walk by with my roomies coming home from dinner at Downtown Taqueria. Looked cute, so walked in to grab a to-go menu. The restaurant is clean, simple, and small. That night we tried ordering for delivery. The phone service was weird, and it took 4 attempts to reach someone who would take our order (the first 3 attempts consisted of someone talking on the other line but not taking any orders...) I tried the Jahpchae with bulgogi - was pretty good except the noodles were more tough and thick than I like. My roomie tried a crepe and my roomie's boyfriend tried the cheesesteak which he said had too much bread and not enough kimchi. Despite all this, would definitely come back to try again -- the bibimbap looks delicious! The Korean crepe looks interesting, and I want to try the Kimchi cheese fries. The options are very inexpensive and I like the history behind the creation of the Korean/French combo. And they make whole wheat crepes!

Hands down one of my favorite restaurant in Jersey City. Very unique menu, food is amazing and the service is superb. Its a small family run restaurant with a very cozy vibe. Their kimchi fries is just perfection. This is a prime example of how a restaurant can be anywhere and still be a super hit. At the end it is the food that will bring the customer back over and over again. The price is amazing and best of all it is BYOB.

The restaurant is very nice and is right next to the Grove Street Path Station. The food is excellent, thought I do think it's ridiculous that tap water to drink it not free. I would have given Kraverie four stars, if it wasn't for their delivery policies. I've eaten there a number of times and wanted to have it delivered to my workplace in Jersey City. I work roughly two miles away from the restaurant and they refused to deliver to me because it was too far. They need to advertise how far away they are willing to deliver their food. They're missing out on a large customer base by not doing so.

O Kraverie! How I love thy wings!!!! Lol my bf and I come here atleast 1-2x a month just for the wings. We've tried just about everything else on the menu but we just can't seem to get enough of those wings!! And since we loved them so much, for my bf surprise party I had Kraverie cater about 150 wings. Customer service was awesome they took my order called to confirm the week of the party and again the day of to let me know everything was ready. THANKS KRAVERIE!!! EVeryone loved them and couldn't stop talking about how good the wings were. And my bf was def surprised and happy!!!!

This place ROCKS!! Kimchi Cheese Fries were an excellent starter. For dinner, I got Korean Tacos to taste as much as possible: Galbi, Bulgogi, and Spicy Pork. Then, we killed a Banana, Strawberry and Nutella Crepe a la mode for dessert. Everything everyone has raved about is absolutely true!! Definitely one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Jersey City!!

Every time my friend and I go, we always end up getting the same thing. We order a plate of nachos as an appetizer, korean crepes, and one of the dessert crepes. The nachos are very tasty, and the tortilla chips are apparently fried in house. Although they are oilier than the stereotypical tortilla chips, the combination with the toppings makes them easy to eat and tasty. The toppings that come with it are the usuals, tomato, scallions, sour cream, cheese, but with the additional of their tangy kimchi topping. While I normally hate kimchi, the topping adds an incredible spicy, gingery, tangy kick to the nachos that makes them good enough to order every time. The Korean Crepes are made with a savory crepe batter that has a bit of kimchi and spices in it. The filling includes mushrooms, onions, cheese and your choice of meat. I usually choose between the shortrib or the spicy pork and both meats are pretty traditionally seasoned. The combination with the crepe and vegetables makes for a tasty combo. My only complaint is that I'd probably prefer it better if the mushrooms were cooked more, but it's hardly a complaint overall. The dessert crepes are definitely worth coming for even if you're not into korean/mexican/french fusion food. My favorite is usually the Dulce the Leche with walnuts, although I sub out the bananas with strawberries. (I hate bananas.) The dessert usually comes out cooked perfectly with the subtle crisp of a perfectly browned crepe--a wonderful end to a great meal. Definitely one of my favorite places to stop by on a day when I don't feel like cooking.

This place is so great!!! So happy to have discovered another solid delivery option in JC. My husband and I both had the Korean tacos with pork, rib eye and bolgogi. We split an order of kimchi cheese fries and tried the sweet crepes. Everything was ahhhmazing! Love this place. Can't wait to order again!

The vegetarian tacos are average in taste but considering I added no meat to my order I think they could have been a little more generous with the portion. For dessert I ordered the cheese cake crepe and to my expectations it was not disappointing at all. I had to drop them to 3 stars because one, my vegetarian tacos needed more veggies, two, they ran out of potatoes so I couldn't order fries, three, it was a bit uncomfortable to hear the owner and the employee argue about their payroll issues and four, they need a door sign that says "closed" stating their hours of operation. For a busy spot they seemed a bit under staffed and the icing on the cake was their credit card machine stopped working so we had to go to the atm to get cash.
